Asger, you're a great smuggler!

Wasn't Wyman quite the dude? And, of course, Mick Taylor with the usual look of boredom on his face.

The security people were SO rude. I am still amazed that I managed to get my singlelens reflecs Konica HP camera through the gate and all the suspicious gards. During the show - I sat at 7th row - many securitymen had their eyes at me, but they never made a move towards me and my then girlfriend

Did you see the Copenhagen or Gothenburg shows as well, Asger ?
Any memories on how they compared with Aarhus ? It's a shame there are no recordings from those 2 Oct 4th shows. At least there's some photos...thanks

I only saw the Århus show - which by the way was their last visit ever to Århus.
They played there also in september 1970. The venue in 1970 and 1973 was that same indoor sportsarena with app. 4.000 spectators.
What most danish fans even today do not know is, that Charlie Watts for a few months lived in Denmark in (as far as I remenber) 1961 in the town of Randers, that is situated 20 miles north of Århus. The jazz people of Randers still recall "the silent englishman". In 1967 I was in highschool in Randers, and our piano plaing music teacher Steen said one day "oh yeah - The Rolling Stones - I used to play in a jazz band here in our town with Charlie Wats". We were 16 years old pupils and we were sure, that our 35 year old teacher had gone mad and hallucinating. But we later found out, it was all true.

Nice pics indeed.

Who is the second pianist with an afro hair cut? It does not look like a shaved Billy Preston. Is it Jagger? It is confusing.

That'll be Huby Heard or Kenny Lupper from Billy Preston's God Squad who were the supporting act.

You know, Mathijs told me that alot of people who went to the Rdam shows said they were not good. And now we're talking about the golden era! Read the stoneslib site NY reviews from '72. It's like the Stones were past their apex even back then!
