Hey Django,

the last four that you mention would be on top of my list as well, funny. I appreciate Citizen Kane and Local Hero as well but not to that degree. As to the SF department (2001), I bet you will also enjoy "Phase IV" by Saul Bass and "Quiet Earth", if you have not had the pleasure yet. As to the Coen Brothers' body of work (The Big Lebowski), I would add "Fargo" to the list.

Ket, I like your list a lot, especially the first and the last.
We may share a certain sense of humor in these and a sense of
what is bad (and good) in life too.

i don't do favourites/rankings, but ... i have made many people very angry
by insisting they get up at 3 AM to see the original DOA.

and then there's ... hm, you know that beautiful feeling when a film demonstrates
that someone has perceived the same thing you have, when everyone else has been telling you you're nutz?
Mars Attacks. have some popcorn :E

What would you say are the top ten reasons you don't do favorites/rankings?

"Not that I condone fascism, or any -ism for that matter. -Ism's in my opinion are not good. A person should not believe in an -ism, he should believe in himself. I quote John Lennon, "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me." Good point there. After all, he was the walrus. I could be the walrus. I'd still have to bum rides off people."
