Well, the Police tickets for their Saturday night Feb 16th 2008 show at the Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu went on sale today.
I'm not a huge Police fan by any means and when the original rumour was they were to play the big stadum here, my interest was quite minimal.
Once they announced they are playing their smallest venue (7,500 seats) during this tour, sans their surprise gig, I became more interested.
I scored 2 Front Row (Row A) Loge Seats in section 15 (Yellow) as depicted on the seating chart:

To me, these are the best seats in the house! I always sit in the loge as you're perched right over the stage, completely unobstructed view, absolutely fantastic. So, I'll be a mere 25 ft from Stink, lucky me!
The show completely sold out in one hour, unbelievable.
I expect a second and possibly a third show to be announced otherwise the scalper/tout prices will be sky-high given their popularity and the paltry amount of tickets avaiable
The presale was yesterday and for an extra $100 one could join the Police Fan Club instantly and get tickets before today's public sale.
I perused the available seats and they were all on the direct opposite end of the stage. I truly don't understand the "logic" of paying an extra $100 for seats that aren't as good as what you can get during the public sale and with no $100 surcharge.
Even the last row in the balcony section furtherst away from the stage in the Blaisdell is still a great view, but closer is always a better view of course.
I'm still hoping the Stones play Honolulu again and that they play the Blaisdell as they had many years ago. It's as close to a theater show atmosphere as you could ever get for an arena.
So, I'm happy...great seats in a small arena on a Saturday night!
