Loverboy- They opened for ZZ Top in 1981

Van Halen- 1980, man they sucked in concert, really bad

The Wiggles- 2003, but my kids dug it. They played parts of Satisfaction and JJF "for the Mums and Dads", so that was amusing.

Backstreet Boys-2005, they were halftime entertainment at the NFL Pro Bowl

This is easy: The Backstreet Boys. Very embarrassing, even though it was work related. In second place: Britney Spears - also work related.

I saw skynyrd recently, or whats left of them. Im not embarrased to tell people I saw them, but what was embarrasing was after some songs and the end of the show when everyone chanted "USA USA USA USA". no joke. It was something right of of Borat.

p.s. the tickets were free.

A Foreigner/Doobie Brothers bill sometime in the early '90s, I think it was '92. The girl I was dating wanted to go, I should have taken that as a sign and ran away as fast as my legs could carry me. Still, it's no excuse. The shame, the shame!

If I am still not embarrassed over seeing Hilary Duff last month, I can't really think of anything that would do it to me. I have been to hundreds though, sure something will come up.

EASY

Rick Springfield in the early 80s.

I have also walked out on YES. 3rd row, center stage. The crowd was silent... hanging on every note played on this huge contraption (I am not even sure what instrument is was)

I laffed out loud at the tools around me, got up and left about 3 songs in.

Black Sabbath was dreadful when I saw them, but you gotta give Ozzy a bit of a break.... even tho he was bad the rest of the guys still pulled it off anf the crowd was singing along like crazy... it was like Sabbath-oki

other notable tortures in live music
Loverboy
The Go-Gos (tho they were not bad, and it was the 80s so they were still hot)
Enuff Znuff

What get's me is the amount of you who have seen the Spice Girls.....Why? What were you thinking?

Abba I get. but Steps? SClub7? Status Quo 30 times? that must have interesting they've only got one riff. Apart from in The Army Now. That's actually quite a good song.

It's like Beatlemania with tits. Something that just had to be experienced to be believed.

I am sure a more appropriate comparison could be made between their respective solo careers.
