That "Charmed Life" single is just dreadful!!!

Nice album cover photo.

Charmed Life ...not my taste but still
not as bad as LET'S WORK....is it? I'll have to
wait to hear the full song.

This would have been a perfect package to include
a dvd with all the videos (or at least that option for a couple $ more).

IORR............but I like it!

I think this whole thing doesn't make sense. Most people probably don't even remember his solo career, and the hardcore Stones fans that do haven't exactly been clamoring for a retrospective of Mick's solo work.

There is a delux version of this that does include a dvd. It is mentioned in the youtube promotional footage form the first post in this thread and also it is listed on Amazon.com. They don't have a listing yet for the contents of the dvd, though.

I will. So will all the hardcore Stones fans. And newcomers who'll mistake it for a Stones compilation. That's at least 3000 sales in the UK alone.

I am sure this-one will be in the top 20 a few days after release(at least here in Germany), if the P.R. works.
If Keith will ever do such an album dont think it would be in the top 200.

I like Charmed Life, it has a good groove. And Too Many Cooks is a dream come true. One of my all time favourite bootleg songs - now in best quality.

The very best of Mick Jagger is the songs written for The Rolling Stones. I hate solo works.

Is it me or are there a couple of great songs that have'nt been included on the Greatest Hits - i.e I loved Say You Will and Kow Tow. Are there others that should have been on there?

Someone also mentioned Hard Woman (album version) should be on there.

... was it Frank Zappa who once pointed out that calling an album "the best of"
is just begging for the reaction "jeepers, this is his/her/their BEST?!"
seems like Some Good MJ Tracks would leave more ... leeway. not to mention room for a sequel :E

Throwaway definitely should've been on there. It's the best song on Primitive Cool.

has mick ever even had a bona fide hit?

moreoever, any "best of" that doesn't include the masterful Hang On To Me Tonight is no best of, at all . . .

That's the worst collection of songs imaginable. The singles aren't even on there like "Throwaway," "Hard Woman," and "Say You Will." And why not put hard to find versions of songs like the video versions of "Lucky In Love" and "Hard Woman" on there? And hard to find B-Sides like "I'm Ringing," "If Things Had Been Different," "Blue," and "Catch As Catch Can"??!! I think people like myself would be more likely to buy it then--as it is who in the heck is going to buy it? Some Stones completests and that's it. I predict less that 10,000 sold in the US.

What a shame...I was hoping for something much better.

Mick had a #12 hit with "Just Another Night," had Top Forty (barely) songs "Lucky In Love" and "Let's Work," and a Top Ten hit with "Dancing In The Streets" (all these are US Top Forty).

Say you will, hang on to me tonight, angel in my heart, wired all night, kow tow, hard woman... So many "greatest hits" but not "let's work" for sure.
