I can't resist the temptation to be the first on this board to list a song that is definitely in my Top 5. My choices are kind of obvious (all but one were singles). In no particular order;
Tumbling Dice Brown Sugar Gimme Shelter Jumpin' Jack Flash The Last Time
Honky Tonk Women could replace one of those 5 if my mood were to shift slightly
Makes me laugh looking at these lists, most are the favorite "warhorses" as some of you put it but most people say they are their favorite songs , so when the Sones play them why moan? I've seen it time and time again , Why do they play these songs, when it just goes to prove that they play them because they are peoples favorites.
Mine are
Midnight Rambler Gimmi Shelter Wild Horses Sympathy for the Devil Under my thumb
Trouble is I may think of a different list tomorrow

official releases all original studio versions unless stated
1. Gimme Shelter 2. Midnight Rambler (Ya Yas version) 3. Jumpin' Jack Flash 4. Moonlight Mile 5. Winter
Ablett - 'Winter' took decades for me to appreciate. Until a couple of years ago, it probably wouldnt even have been in my top 50. Dont know what did the trick, maybe OpenG's incessant championing of it or maybe just having it playing at random on headphones one day and the penny finally dropping as to how majestic it is. Beautiful vocal performance, great imagery, THAT solo and most of all, those strings towards the end.

Ermm..only ablett and monkeylad picked a list where "most" (3 out of 5) were warhorses.
HS - She's a Rainbow? Really, that's in your top 10, I'm kinda surprised. I expected all heavy rockers from you. Not that I"m putting down the song at all!
