Me noh know.
I know Wingless Angels & Clean Cuts,

But aint this from 1969?

This is what the Youtube-text says:

"Recorded in March, 1969. Mick Jagger wrote the song about Brian Jones,
after he died it was rewritten and retitled 'Shine A Light', and released in that form.
'Get A Line On You' itself was never released."

There are some people who claims, thou, the song actually deals with Keef.
Anyway; its lyrics is somewhat changed from 1969 to 1971-72.
Guess you can choose about whome its written; and put the
content you prefer on the astonishingly brilliant lyrics...

What I in particular love in the final song SAL is the
interaction lyrics and melody. Its precious.

More from GALOY:

May the good lord, flash a light on you
Make every song you're singing, your favorite tune
The good lord, flash a light on you
Warm, yeah, like the evening sun, now

More - more or less correct - lyrics on the link above.

2. Dixie Lullaby
3. I Put A Spell On You
4. Shoot Out On The Plantation
5. Hummingbird
6. Delta Lady
7. Prince Of Peace
8. Old Masters
9. Give Peace A Chance
10. Hurtsome Body
11. Pisces Apple Lady
12. Roll Away The Stone
13. The New Sweet Home Chicago
14. Jammin' With Eric
15. Indian Girl
16. Shoot Out On The Plantation (Solo Piano Version)
17. (Can't Seem To) Get A Line On You

Lukester,

24 Karat Gold Disc, Leon Russell. Came out in 1993, according to the disc. Order number GZD-1049. Company is Dcc Compact Disc Classics. And song is credited to Leon...Ringo Starr on Drums. Whole record is GREAT. It's track 17, last of the bonus tracks. Mick is the only Stone who is on this.

Hard as the dickens to find, though,I just checked Ebay, and didnt see it. Here are some photos.

I bought one about a year ago. It was in mint condition, but it cost me $90. It is in very high demand.

Wrong two times: it's not about Brian, and it was released officially.

From Martin Elliott's book:

Elliot makes a mistake as well. Most probably the only Stones on Get a Line on You are jagger and Wyman. All other musicians are most probably session man from the band of Russel. It is very unlikely that Ringo starr played the drums -it certainly is not his style you hear on the song.

sounds like Taylor working out the lead on Get A line to me. Anyway earlier someone asked about Exile outs collections. "Hillside Blues" (Vinyl Gang) is very good tho its a 2 cd set w/first disc alot of Trident demos. Also Sister Morphine's "I Give You Diamonds You give Me Disease" is very good quality wise. Although all of the collections seem to want to include the horrible sb of "Ventilator Blues" from the June 72 Dallas rehearsals as an Outtake. Its clear but MIcks vocal is so loud over the instruments that its painful to listen to(and NOT an out is the truest sense of the word!)
