How about Keith including "Gimme Shelter" in his set.

Just listened to a rockin version "Gimme Shelter" from the Xpensive Winos 1993 show with Keith singing lead and wondered if anyone would dig it if Keith used it in his set? Would it be an insult to Mick? Could you feel good about it?

I think it was a great version and Lisa adding the female vocals. Nice heavy sound at a slower pace.

Edmund posted it in Hot Stuff under "POST: Keith Richards, 1993-02-13 - Boston"

The whole show is up there along with I think the video, check it out its a rockin version.

Anyone know how to include a link that will bring you right to the post?

How about including GS instead of I go crazy. Don't know why the stones keep doing covers.
Well, they rehearsed "Rainy day women" I remember. That would be cool.

<Would it be an insult to Mick?>

It wasn't with Connection, so I guess that would be fine. I's rather see GS with Mick on the vocals though...

I would think it would work fine because the song uses less vocals by Mick and more jamming and Lisa parts. Either way a killer song.

There's a nice studio outtake version of this (as well as Mick singing "You Got The Silver") from the LIB sessions.

"No Anchovies, Please"
