Forgot to share this one with you...Blondie Chaplin and I enjoying a nice cold beer 5 hours before the Rolling Stones show in Copenhagen on Sunday the 5th of August. Hope you like it.

Blondie is a nice guy. Very nice to chat with. And I admit that his hand sure IS wrinkled...

Blondie's a dick. Sometimes he's very cool, like when you have some smoke or powder to share. Other times, acts like he dosen't know who the hell you are.

I didn't have a smoke nor some powder. I just had my Yankee cap and my Tattoo You album which he signed and asked if we should go have a beer.

Even if he I could seem him on a daily basis - I just wouldn't. Well, yes if he could hook me up with the boys. I ONLY spent time with him in Copenhagen because he would be my key to meet the boys. He told me he could get me Keith's auto...but he didn't! BAstard! Patti Hansen did :-)

She did and I think that was a great story. Very nice of her to do that :-)

he was at the convention at the bonnington today and hanging out outside the tim ries show tonight.

when i met blondie before he was exceedingly nice to my daughter and me - vancouver.

today, he was ok but drunk at the convention. he was not at all mean.

Pretty much the only reason to talk to Blondie for most fans. He dosen't have access to anything. Maybe a pass for a free Budweiser and a chicken wing, if you are lucky.

no he's not !! don't have time now to go into the whole story, but the first time i talked to him at the hotel bar in milano, i was a bit "confused" because i thought he acted kind of rude to me. it took me a while but eventually i understood that he was just trying to chill out from work and talk with normal people, and he didn't want to hear some deliriously happy drunken stones fan woman askin him about KEITH (well, that was the first show after the coconut tree) and wot's the set list tomorrow woo hoo hoo at any rate, i was glad that i got to talk with him again in rome for a while, and even apologize for my obnoxious behavior in milano, ha ha, he just shrugged and said, hey, whatever, that's okay, or something like that - i think he actually remembered :-)
anyway, i think Blondie is just a completely down to earth regular guy, he doesn't seem to think of himself as a rolling stone - he's a musician and he works for them - he has absolutely no pretentions at all and he's very cool and interested in other people and their lives too.

nah, we didn't even drink a beer, it was sunday morning outside the hotel and he was actually working watching the truck being loaded with a stones security guy :-) haha no one even had a cigarette, we had to go bum (nick?) them from an italian guy who worked at the hotel ! :-))))

Wouldn't know about the chicken wing, not too much meat on them.
Budweiser..well you should really be lucky not to have had one of these. Someone people have misunderstood what beer actually is and tend to call this for a beer....oh my god :-)

He is a very nice guy. Rough start to working music life in apartheid South Africa; and has written and played some really good stuff. I think pretty close to Keith now - and I never heard him abuse or use that connection with fans.

I have met him a few times in the last couple of years, and except when I think I really pissed him off yesterday at the Tim Ries gig (me not thinking and him misunderstanding what I was doing) he was always friendly and open.
