To my big surprise, Keith hardly played guitar for Dead Flowers - he just held it - while doing great backupvocals. Only Mick and Ronnie could be heard on guitars...unless it was Blondie on a doubledecker

Yea Rooster that was very strange. But Keith did held to guitar on a stretched arm, like a R&R statue - so it wasn't like he didn't know the chords, he just focused completely on the singing.
They all did a nice show - but Ronnie surprised me the most, he's really doing some hard work there - real great country-like solo on Tumbling Dice - that one's stuck in my mind.

I think there's nothing new about Keith not singing and playing simulatenously smiling smiley
What was he doing during the verses, did you notice ?

It is new that Keith does it in a 'Mick-song'.
If memory serves, Keith sang on the 2nd and 3rd verse, without playing guitar....and if I remember correctly: not on the solo either. Maybe a bit in the very beginning though. Will be interesting to hear the recording - as you rarely hear Keith on those parts of DeadFlowers.
I can't swear on this - but I was 98% sober, and I was in the front...7th row

well, if he sings on verses than it is indeed something new winking smiley
I thought you meant chorus parts. And for chorus parts it is indeed nothing new, watch Saitama, Four Flicks or even You Gotta Move from 1975/76.

For a perfect Brown Sugar:
Step1: electric torch backstage, checking the fret
Step2: left hand fingers firmly on
Step3: first step on stage, electric torch, riff double checked
Step4: walk on stage, front spotlight on
Step5: left hand still firmly on the TELE'S neck, right hand waving to the crowd, a big, big smile

The RIFF is there, beautiful Brown Sugar !

I love that guy...

Last outdoor of the tour and they had to use up all the pyro. The damned post encore fireworks lasted over half an hour!

Met Elmer from the crew on the plane home. Surprisingly upbeat for having just been let go of his job of the last year-and-a-half.

Hardly I'll say, it looks like he's striking a chord every now and then, but you couldn't hear him...apart from in ROnnies solo and in the beginning
ANyway, it's a nice listen

On Dead Flowers Keith was very focused on his backing vocals which were great. He played some guitar but not very intense. Anyway, with Mick on accoustic and Ronnie on solo you could hardly notice Keith being less present. But his voice sounded more present than Mick's on chorus... beautiful

Some articles published on sunday:

[winglessgwen.free.fr]

[winglessgwen.free.fr]

[winglessgwen.free.fr]

In the first article, they mention that two doctors and a stretchers were sent backstage around 8pm and that someone from the entourage was busted on friday at the airport for possession of hash.

In the second, they got the set list completely wrong...
