a benefit for Ferdie the drummer from 400 Blows who got chicken pox and nearly died while on tour, the Melvins played as a 2 piece, Qui is an amazing group with David Yow of Jesus Lizard on vocals.


Mike Watt & Second Men/Chairs Of Perception (former Urinals)/Sacharrine Trust/Raw Power Rangers (Stooges tribute) at the Punk Rock Barbecue last night. Mike Watt and Chairs was amazing. It's been a good summer for gigs, a lot of free ones too.

Have not seen the Stones in 2007 but here are some gigs I enjoyed.

Dylan at Moheagan Sun in CT (also going to see him down the street from me and in Bridgeport, CT in a few weeks)

Toots & the Maytals put on a great show..

The (new) Cars were pretty solid.

Bob Weir's Ratdog were also pretty good considering he was playing songs that needed Jerry Garcia, but he pulled them off petty good.

I'll delete Velvet Revolver off my list. I was looking forward to the gig, but they were very, very average. More about posing than music or energy. Got blown off the stage by Alice In Chains.

The Stooges at the Wiltern in LA. I was right in front, got to sing into the mic with Iggy. I felt like I was 18 again.

I'd Have to say hands down. The single best show I've seen was Bob Seger in Oakland in (i think)Feb. Just a great performance. Well thought out setlist. True passion by a guy who hasn't been on the road much lately. His new material held up well. Sure wish he would come back around again.

my only stones concert this year Copenhagen was great,
And being FOS for the first time since 1999, really made the difference. you are "into" the concert, instead of watching it. So much more participating..


which brings us us to another topic really :

it could be called concert attending tecnique, !! ie.
where to be situated within the ground
who to go with, friends, and / or family
what to take with you, camera, chairs, binolocular (pls
correct spelling .)
how to behave (!) , i e be sober or drunk..

all that aspects can affect greatly how you enjoy the show..

do you have some rules regarding this ?
