Apart from the stones

All small venues

talking heads <sometime in the eighties, barberalles small night club>
slade
stranglers
clash
gary glitter & glitter band < happy hour night out with about 35 mates, went to take the piss but ended up being one of the best nights out>
genesis <sometime in the seventies>
thin lizzy

Bigger venue

pink floyd

and thats the only one i can think of, the rest cannot help but compare to the stones.

Dylan - various 1984 to 2002 ,but Hammersmith Odeon 1990 is the standout.
Slade - in the early eighties
Eric Clapton - Hyde park 96 (perfect set)
Roger Waters -May 2007 .AMAZING SHOW
Chuck Berry - 2004. Patchy, but just had to be there. Johnny B Goode with duckwalk is probably my favourite ever rock'n'roll moment.

Bruce Springsteen, Stockholm, 2005. He performed "Blinded By The Light" which is one of my fave songs ever and a beautiful version of the Suicide tune "Dream Baby Dream".

Guns N Roses. Wembley Stadium. London. Early 90´s. Can´t recall precise date. Great show. When they came on stage, it took about 4-5 minutes to hear what they were playing. People went crazy. Sound Garden came on first. Shit hot. A strange story. About two years before I was arrested. Nothing serious, just silly. Anyway, the police officer searching me on the way in was the very same that nicked me. We laughed about it. Later that evening, we shared a joint together. Whatever anyone thinks about GnR, they were first class musicians. It´s a shame it ended too soon. Because they were the real deal.

Pink Floyd, Kiel Auditorium St. Louis, Missouri March 1973.

Dark Side Of The Moon tour. I can still remember watching the roadies frantically wiring the speakers in the upper rows @ the back and sides of the arena. I was thinking to myself "what the hell are they doing up there wiring those speakers. Surely we are not going to hear "surround sound". This had never been done before to my kmowledge and once the concert started those speakers played a key role in enhancing my buzz.
