BT says: "Game, Set & Match, Stones!"

[musik.bt.dk]

Steffen Jungersen is far-far out-ish lyrical & superlative-ical in his review,
which headline is: "The Power And The Glory, Eternally."

"Read that setlist and cry. What the @#$%& shall I say. Eventually it just became too unreal. FANTASTIC JJF!"

"Fore theirs is the Rock And Roll Heaven, The Power And The Glory, Eternally. Amen!"

Berlingske's Henrik Queitsch's review [ekstrabladet.dk]

I translate the final text blocks

'You Got The Silver'. Selv pakket ind i Keiths gravballerøst. Så kunne man altid tage en tissepause under 'I Wanna Hold You'.

#'You Got The Silver'. Rolled into Keith's Living Dead-voice. And the pee break could be located to 'I Wanna Hold You'.

Knivskarpt (# Razor blade sharpened)
Hver gang.
# And the trick with rolling out the stage among the audience under MU
works. Every time.

'It's Only Rock 'n' Roll'. Behøver jeg sige mere? '(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction' ville i hvert fald være en decideret løgn. 'Honky Tonk Woman' badet i knivskarp strengeleg.
# 'It's Only Rock 'n' Roll'. DFo I need to say more? '(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction' would anyhow be a dedicated lie. HTW swam in glimmery
knife-sharpened stringplays. Many were they. And all sympathy to the
Devil's music, when its played so diabolically good.

'Paint It Black'.
# PIB. With thick lines. JJF delivers once again a back wheel for
a few others so called rock bands in this and other known galaxies.
BS, where did you learn to dance so good?

# Forget all about the money. Even if they certainly consist a pleasant'side effect. The Living Dead boys once more went out and stirred into
the Ginnungagap Soup. Deep down to the very bottom,
where the Magics is born. You hardly believe your own ears.

# @#$%& me, if they cannot find more energy to another round down there.
Otherwise it beats me, where they fetch it. And one has to state,
humbly, that as a live band in this weight class there are still
nooone, who can beat the Stones nor come anywhere close them.

Jeg bukker mig ydmygt i støvet. Selv uden 'Midnight Rambler'.
# I humbly bow in the dust. Also without MR.

Berlingske's Thomas Söie Hansen's review is perhaps the heaviest of them all.
Let go he calls Lisa ~ a young chorus singeresse...

Quote
"De kan komme med deres Bono, deres Elton, med samtlige tøsedrenge i musikhistorien, men I.N.G.E.N. mestrer det her som Stones, når det kører. Nobody, niemand. "

# They can come with their Bono, their Elton, with all them
girly boys in the music history but N.O.O.N.E masters this as the Stones do,
when it is cooked down. Nobody, niemand.

Here's BTW the preamble to Hansen's review [www.berlingske.dk] :

Cool Keith og resten af de rustne rullesten havde rystet det svenske mareridt af sig
og leverede en viril, forbilledlig opvisning i rockmusik og myten evig ungdom i Parken.
= Cool Keith and the rest of the rusty roll-stones had been shaken
the Swedish nitemare off and delieverd a virile, role model-like
show-off in rock music and the myth of eternal youth in Parken.
(*Phu* this a more free translation than usual)

Just arrived back in Dublin from Copenhagen and I had a great time. This was a better show than the one I saw in Paris in june, the band were much tighter I thought and the sound was great from where I stood. Keith was in great form I thought, I'm no musician but he didn't seem to me to put a foot wrong all night. I agree also that his stage patter was much more coherent than it can be! You got the Silver was superb and heartfelt and it was great to see him chipping in backing vocals.I was delighted to hear Rocks Off and Dead Flowers although apart from that the set was fairly easy to predict. Can we have Midnight Rambler at Slane castle please??!!

I hope the show was great,
I got tickets for Copenhaguen, for FOS, but the day of the show (at 6 O'clock in the morning), my car has been broke (windows) and the only solution was not to go to the show. 2000km by car for nothing, from south of France. I hope it will be better in Germany. Terrible not to see the Rolling Stones...
See you in Germany.

According to this story from danish TV2 this nasty bastard attended the afterparty after the show in Copenhagen.
Jønke is a leader withnin Hells Angels in Denmark and has done a 12 year sentence for gunning down another rocker in the streets of Copenhagen with a machine gun.
The representatives of the bands record compagny in Denmark ought to keep such a filthy piece of dirt away from our boys...what do you think?

I wonder if the whole show was filmed, or just the few seconds we got to see on danish tv? Looked like it was an excerpt from much more material...

Who do you trust the most, a reviewer or a Stonesfan?
I was at both shows, and if Copenhagen had been better than Gothenburg, I would have said so.

Absolutely...and Jønke is welknown psycho here in Denmark, no person in their right mind would wish to be in his company.
It's not the bands fault, but people around them ought to be more carefull, I think.

Back from a beautiful week in Sweden and Denmark. Apart from meeting old friends and making new ones I saw two great shows in Göteborg and Copenhagen. Both shows were absolutely upper standard and the boys were on fire on both nights. That is including Keith! When I read the reviews after the Sweden show I couldn't believe I was at the sames show as the so-called reviewers. It was so obvious that the reviewers for some reason wanted to bash the Stones. At least not all the reviews were so negative and, yes, unfair. Greetings to Sir Henrik (let's do it one more time!), TE (have a ball in Oslo), MadMax (top man!) and all the other nice people I met. Rock on!

I saw three of them being escorted out of the venue by RS Head Of Security and two stewards at the start of Sympathy For The Devil.

Btw to me the stage looked smallere than the one used in Horsens last year?

Basically what the tabloids write on these shows is totally interesting
for us here. They dont come near the "Stones cultural competance" we
could & should demand from a reviewer.

At least me I want to know how good a show is, related to other shows on the tour.
Nuances may also be a good ting.

Gothenburg is my hometown, and of course i could´ve been partial, but I judge the shows equally no matter where I am. I want the best show each time, no matter what the location is. Next is Oslo, and again I hope for the best show ever, and I will compare it to the other ABB shows I´ve seen. Neither Gothenburg or Copenhagen were bad shows, but Gothenburg wins because of the aggresiveness and better playing from all. And I must say, Ronnie has shown that he´s the best I´ve seen him in ages. I actually for the first times enjoyed his solos, and that´s coming from a die hard Taylorite. He is taking a lot of responsibility on his shoulders. I sometimes feel Keith can be a little lazy with his playing, but the solo on HTW in Copenhagen was so good I thought I had travelled back in time. Really inspired, and from what I could hear, spot on.That moment, is one I´ll carry with me for a long time.

Wow, Keith is looking so good on those pictures. So sharp and awake! No that he didn't before, he just looks to be more now. He looks a liitle younger for some reason. Maybe he got some good news or something.

Yeah...they shouldn't mess with those psychos.
The stage were smaller than in Horsens. It's not possible to make room for that huge stage in Parken.

Sure reviewers can be a problem. But no problems with the Dansih reviewers I think. 3 papers gave 6 out of 6 stars and 3 papers gave 5 out of 6. I think they passed the audition ;-)

Point taken :-)
I'm sure both shows were just great. I can only give my oppinion on the Copenhagen show...and after months of bad reports and speculations about Keith, it was a pleasent surprise...great show.

Eh...besides, who gives a rats ass on what the journalist writes? I've been to shows were one journalist gives it 1 of 6 stars, while the other gives 6.
Opinions on IORR is a lot more trustworthy.
