I'm not back to work after last night's amazing concert. I'm still of the very same opinion as I was two hours after concert when I wrote the review here [www.iorr.org] ( : and no, I'm not Mr. Goodman : ) )

On my desk 5 stars were greeting me. 5 out of 5 !! From collegeaus who also were at the concert last. They were overwhelmed as well. And the newspaper reviews are almost all true this time around : ) I'm just not sure why one of the reviewers claim that the audience didn't respond the way they ought to. Well, it depends I suppose where you were. My colleagues were sitting a bit away from the stage, but they felt the intimacy. And you can't really achieve anything bigger at a stadium.
It was close to a complete sell out, and I'm sure some hundreds will be angry at themselves that they didn't take the last-minute possibility of getting a ticket.

As mentioned above Keith said a heartfelt "Thank you very much, guys". He thanked Ronnie. And he sang You Got the Silver from the heart. No "good to be here - good to be anywhere". No "I got a show to do". "Just" a roaring applause. And his sincere thanks.

I'm still overwhelmed, but I have to work....perhaps get some extra cash for London ? So far a dream. But like yesterday dreams are not always far away from real life.

Well it must almost have been a sold out concert. The Newspapers say 44.000 or 45.000 and that's just about a sold out concert in Parken.
I'm really glad to the tickets finally sold, it has taken some time, but never mind :-)
It's was great because I would have hated a halfempty stadium and because so many people witnessed this fantastic night.
Personally I prefered Horsens last year, because the was perfect on that evening. The sound in Parken often gets a bit muddy...but that's not the band's fault.
In the weeks and days before the concert I've had mixed emotions because of all the bad reporting, but they did again the old bastards...no better band in the world.
I don't know what was wrong in Helsinki or elsewhere, but I'm glad they choose Copenhagen to be on top.
To those of you who are going to more shows on this tour, I'll keep my fingers crossed, that you'll have a show like this.

I was at Parken too last night, but I didn't have a very good time. All being blamed on the sound I got. With a few exceptions like Dead Flowers, Ruby Tuesday, Silver, JJF and the jam part of CYHMK the sound was a mess.

I was front row in Copenhagen, and while the setlist was good, the gig in Gothenburg was so much more aggresive and well played. In Gothenburg there no f-ups in the riffing section, in CPH there were some misses, like playing in the wrong key sometimes, especially in the opening riff to BS. Overall it was a good show, but not outstanding. One good thing was that during the Toots set, we just walked in and got places agains the fence in the FOS-section, Ronnies side, plenty of space to dance in!

Yeah sure...in Gothenburg most newspaper reviews were bad and yesterdays reviews is 6 out 6 stars in 3 papers and 5 out of 6 stars in 3 other papers. Those reviewers is deaf and blind ;-)

The sound was not too good from my seat last night. But this has nothing to do with the Stones. A few years ago I saw Springsteen at Parken. I had the same seated area. The sound was awful. It´s the sound men. It´s their job. The guitars were very loud. Not since my latest Deep Purple gig have I had my head blown off. But from a Stones point of view it was excellent. So what if there were a few mistakes. Anyone play guitar here? Anyone ever make a mistake while playing live? There´s your answer. The Stones are human. All round though, if that´s a rock n roll show by the greatest rock n roll band ever. Then count me in for some more. Much more.

It is their job to make the best possible sound based on the conditions they have at any given venue, and Parken is not the best place to hold a rock concert.

Was it the Springsteen concert from 03? I was at that one too, and I agree the sound was horrible.

Re: Copenhagen Reports and Comments

I was close to catwalk in the middle of the FOS. Sound was great I think. Like in 2003. But I do agree that Parken can be terrible. Some of my friends who had seats closer to the back of the stadium were very happy with the sound. Much to my surprise actually. It's obviously a very subjective thing. One thing is sure : It was loud as it should be : )

Anyone read the review in Ekstra Bladet?

They always follows the same pattern. Letting Thomas Treo do a review of a foreign show, giving The Stones really bad criticism and then letting Henrik Quietsch do a rave review of the one in Denmark.

Sohoe. No, it was an earlier Springteen concert. But I agree with you about Parken. The sound, at least from high up in the flanks where I was is crap. I've been to the old Wembley to see Stones. The sound was great. And many, many other open air gigs, all sounding great. So maybe Parken gives a poor sound. I don´t know why. Maybe someone here can explain.

The sound wasn't perfect were I was, but that's Parken. It's more interesting to me, that they delivered a great show and that much-talked about Keith played some great stuff. Off course there were bum notes, and so what? I think people has become very focused on these things...but there has always been bum notes with this band.
With all the negative reporting about Keith for the past 2 months, I expected a man who was a mere shadow of himself. Well that wasn't what I experienced last night, so I still think there's hope there. If he only consumes 1 bottle before the concert instead of 2, I think he'll be alright ;-)

I had, for various reasons, for the first time in Parken a seat opposite the stage far to the left, and the sound was bad on most of the songs. It was very booming, and the guitars very low.

Just a foot note. It was very easy to get recording equipment into Parken. I was thoroughly checked from the waist up. I had a camera in my pocket which stuck out. Neither did she ask about it, nor touch it. I was amazed. I could have been anyone with anything.
