So true Frank, Don't know why Ray kinda seems to screw it up everytime they play it live and it's "officially" released.... I think I have about 3 or 4 different versions and it's never quite right... maybe it "hits the spot" a little to close so he wants to kinda get goofy with it... There's an Elvis Costello version of DAYS from the Wim Wender film "UNTIL THE END OF THE WORLD" - masterpiece STILL not out on DVD - which is really great, very haunting kinda vibe to it (which works really well in the film).....
