I was at Oakland 88 also. I was proud of Keith being a very confident front man and leading a very tight band. Great show with all the Talk is Cheap songs and some Stones (as I recall, I should look up the set list someplace)

Seen him in Ahoy, forgot what year that was. I remember Happy was fun. I wished it would go on for ever.

Saw the winos twice at the Beacon and once at the Brenden Byrne Arena in NJ. Also at the Acadamy on New Years Eve. Doesn't get much better than that. Saw Keith "solo" at the Beacon for the Rainforest Benefit.

Saw Keith at the Palladium in L.A. when Talk is Cheap was released, and then on the Main Offender tour at the Universal Amphitheatre. At Universal, I was in the pit and in the front.

Also saw the Gram Parsons tribute at Universal. Very memorable night. If Gram had lived, I guess Johnny Depp might not have become buds with Keith.

But I missed Keith performing at the Wiltern for the Willie Nelson & Friends show. Bob Dylan also performed. Don't know what my problem was; maybe tickets cost too much.

And I never got to see the New Barbarians, and missed Ronnie's solo shows in the L.A. area.

But I saw Charlie at the Henry Fonda Theatre . . . and Mick walked right past my seat several times during the performance.

Saw Mick Taylor at the L.A. House of Blues. Didn't stay for the entire performance. I was kinda bored.

Have seen Mac a few times at small clubs in L.A. But I'm getting way off topic now.

I saw Keith play at the Willie Nelson and Friends
tribute a couple years ago at the Wiltern Theater in LA.
Dylan was also there that night, along with many others,
but Keith was indeed the highlight!

Saw him both tours in Chicago, and got lucky to get into a pbs soundstage taping for a television audience. All amazing. all smaller and more intimate settings than a big production Stones show, the fans are more hardcore Rock & Rollers. Had high hopes for him and Keith exceeded them. Second best thing to a Stones show, would choose him over a Mick Solo show in a heartbeat. Having said that, the sum is greater than the parts, and they are exponentially better teamed up. Also like to say I saw Ron Wood solo in a medium size club and was amazed how great that show was. It was much better than when I saw Mick Taylor live at House of Blues in LA. Don't bother telling me Taylor's Stones stuff is superior to Woody's Stones stuff, I agree. But as Solo acts in the early 90's, Woody put on a much better show. Taylor's solos were amazing, but they come out of nowhere in obscure songs with a low energy, and the crowd just watches and listens impressed. Ron had the audience rocking and having fun.

I saw him in Rotterdam, I believe after his second solo album was released. The sound in Ahoy is awful, but at least I had a good spot, somewhere in the middle at one of the front rows. But I do not really like the xpensive winos stuff. It is too heavy for me, to simplistic rock 'n' roll. Not as subtle as the stones can be or as exciting. There's a live version of Gimme Shelter on one of his solo singles: I love his intro, his great, great, great guitar playing, but as soon as the drummer joins in, I'm off.

Saw him at the Orpheum in Boston on Dec. 5th '88 and Feb. 14th, '93. Also snuck in to the soundcheck on the afternoon of Feb. 13th, grabbed a seat in the back row, and basically got a private show for a half hour! Met him afterwards, too.

The Main Offender show was great (especially Gimme Shelter & Something Else) but I liked the '88 show better - first time seeing a Stone, better seats, the band & Keith were a little more enthusiastic, and the setlist was better (I Wanna Be Your Man, You Don't Move Me, and no Main Offender material, which I think pales compared to Talk Is Cheap).

Of course, Sarah Dash stole both shows with "Time Is On My Side".

New Barbs, LA, CA May 1979
Winos; Washington DC, 1st Tour, 1988
Winos; Washingtod DC, 2nd tour, 1992 or three, I cant remember.

All three were great...Winos, 1st show, was the best of the three.

I saw him in Paris in 1992. He was terrific. I remember as though it was to-day.

I saw him at Constitution Hall, Washington DC in '92 - a venue downtown which had a curfew for noise.

Keith went over time and they unplugged him in the middle of the show! Keith looked like he felt bad and so he went around shaking people's hands as the drummer kept on drumming!

I got a pic left over from the Main Offender tour at a Licks show. One side says Keef Riff Hard.

Hi Little Queenie!

I have one of those picks too.

I also got one from Woody when he toured with Bo Diddley. Those one's say "Woody's Pecker".

Wasn't looking too good, but I was feeling real well.

Hi GeorgeV. I was at the Vancouver show, too. I remember he started out with an Eddie Cochran song but I'm not sure what it's called. I also remember that during one song he stopped playing to sign an autograph for a fan. My seat was pretty close to the stage, within the first 10 rows.

saw him in PARIS 92, dec 7th.

a friend of mine thought that the show was a bit too short.

My personal feeling was that Mick was terribly missing me ! But I guess that if I had attended a Mick show in 88, Keith would have missed me too ! (despite the fact I like very much Joe Satriani)
