Hi, I need some info about Scandinavian Group or artists, I remember a group where their album cover had a parrot or something like that, they were from Sweden or Danmark, anyway if you can tell me a list of rock and roll groups it could be great, and if they are influenced by the Stones better,

...but he's on vacation right now.

Anyway I'm sure he'll say Gasolin'. A Danish rock band from the 70's. Maybe more influenced by Hendrix than Stones.

Another Danish rock band with an original approach to rock music is Savage Rose. Baboon Bro will recommend them too.

I'm not really that familiar with Swedish rock music, so I won't go into that.

I don't recall any Danish record with a parrot on the cover, so I can't help you with that, but here's a link to a site with some Danish rock groups from the 60's and 70's: [www.karma.dk] Maybe you'll find the cover there. No English version, so it might be a little hard to navigate

The Hives are a current Swedish band that have a bit of a garage rock sound to them and an energetic frontman, Pelle Almqvist, who was probably influenced by Mick Jagger.

he did a version of -ive been loving you, that next after otis himself is simple the best version ever recorded of that song

The Soundtrack Of Our Lives is the best I've heard, and it's fun to point out the "inspirations" to many of their songs..., then one always has to mention Hanoi Rocks, arguably the most influental unknown band in history. (last mentioned as "also listen to" in MOJO's 80's booklet's Guns N'Roses entry).

Don't know much about Scandinavian rock bands, but I've been to a concert in Stockholm in the early 80's. I saw Black Sabbath. By the time they finished their first song, all the chairs on the floor level were stacked up in a large pile at the rear of the floor section...and a sea of blond heads were rushing the stage, what a trip.

Heard a story about Bobby Keys really liked the norwegian band Titanic, this was in the 70's. The Stones saw them perform and Bobby wanted to play with them and Mick asked them about it, but the band said they had to come back the next night, and they did. That's pretty cold, huh? Anybody else heard this? There's a book on the way, written by Tom Kristensen, one of the original members of the Backstreet Girls. And everybody who loves the Stones, loves Backstreet Girls:-)
