"preshow music" = the tape playing before each show.
Same tape for every show, but not for every tour.
I remember "Milk&alcohol" before the voodoo lounge tour.

Try to remember...

i love the pre-show music but don't know who most of it is.

someone pointed out one song is nick cave.

and there's "time of the season" by the zombies, right?

my favorite is the one with some kids singing on it - not that i like the kids in particular, but the music is great - which one is that.

i have thought about asking someone for a copy of it.

of course, you'd have to add "exodus" at the very end - the post-show music.

Pretty sure I heard some Oasis before MSG '06, though I don't have a clue what it was.

Not recent, but I remember "Jumpin' Jack Flash" a few minutes before Keith hit the stage on the Talk Is Cheap tour in '88 and "Batdance" by Prince playing over the PA in Foxboro '89 just as all sound/lights cut and the "Continental Drift" intro started.

Also remember a Pistols song (one of the well-known ones) being played in the lead-up to Voodoo Lounge, again Foxboro.

I found one of this in youtube.

Look at this. Anybody knows the name of the second song which was played on this video? (It's playing when some guy is saying something to the camera.)

Obscured by Clouds - Pink Floyd --- Short and very spacey. Great for a hot afternoon when you're gettin' your buzz on.

With sssoul, you said it! I cannot even tell one of the pre-show songs, but I can not forget leaving the Barcelona stadium while Exodus was sounding by the speakers. What a killer rhythm!

In Horsens they played River song by Dennis Wilson. I'm sure Blondie had something to do with that choice. It's not a song you hear very often, but it's just great anyway. And my son who is a huge BB-fan were very pleased :-)
