I honestly have no idea what he said. For about ten seconds, I was incapable of intelligible speech and unable to hear properly.

Couldnt even tell you how he looked. All I can recall was a hat, shades, a scarf and a left arm which somehow protruded briefly from his body for long enough to secure a quick handshake.

When the elevator opened and revealed him standing there, I almost pooped my pants.

Wow - that's a surprising statement to me. Euro blew away the earlier Far East leg that spawned the official album, of course. But, many of the ensuing US shows were easily on a par with the Europe leg, IMO.

Lovely photos

This isn't me, but its my view of the stage the first time I saw them in chicago in the summer of 75- for anyone who didn't see this stage, it still is the best, IMO.

Paris in 02 or 03, can't remember. This was in Camp XRay before the show prior to the Olympia show. First time Keith met Keith, a very surreal moment in my life.

"Papi, he smokes."

Keith's and Mick's and Ron's daughters all came and got my son and they took him around and he was so embarrrassed by all the attention he got. He fell asleep by the time the 3rd song started as our seats were way back.

yes....must've seemed a bit surreal. even from the front row (when they're on stage) it seemed surreal. I can imagine......you probably "sharted".

The only time I made any real attempts at seeking them out was back
in '99 when the visited my hometown for the NO SECURITY tour. I stood around
outside for a while and later moved inside to the lobby (near the elevators).
I didn't know if I'd be hassled or not.

I did see Blondie Chaplain standing around trying to be noticed...
...as well as Larry Bird and the Indiana Pacer basketball team.
No Keith, Mick, Ron or Charlie.......many different entrances and exits they
could have used.

Oh...I also saw Mick's kids and their nanny.

After an all nighter on the first night we met him, my wife was begging me to go back to the hotel by 7am and I'm thinking I can stay up and keep going, but she had just had a baby not too long before and I didn't want to overstay my welcome, so we left right after I took this picture.

All band members had their own bodyguards with them on each occasion in both Lisbon and Madrid. I guess they have a 6th sense in some ways in that they can tell if youre harmless or not. The hotel security in both cities were checking us out, we'd already said hi to some of the backing musicians and got a couple of pics and then quickly left them alone, so I guess it was pretty apparent we were low key, good natured and weren't going to be plaguing anyone.

We also added some lyrics to the birth announcement CD and he got a kick out of these he told me.
