Given her vocal talents though, I was a bit disapointed with this CD. I'm hoping she does another one. She is completely hot though and delish!! She can come all over me any day!! Her voice is amazing, though, I do think that she's lost a bit of the range since 1997. And, as for the rest of the backing group, I dig all of their albums - Blondie and Bernard's are top shelf! Tim's is pretty good too.

Not many female singers in this world can live through a duet with Mick on stage. You'll have to give it all and act like you're ready to eat that poor guy!
I've only seen two survive this kind of performance: Tina Turner and Lisa!

That 4 Flicks Gimmie shelter is just great!!!

Met her once...she is very, very sweet. She asked me for my name and how I was doing. Bernard was the same way. I don't think it would be a Stones show without either of them.

LISA FANS:

HERE she is, Miss Lisa Fischer, singing back in 1992 before she joined the stones, this was her single and quite popular song off of her album

Shes one of the few people in the word which can enter the "whistle register" of one's voice, her and Mariah Carrey are the most famous ones. Wikipedia will tell you more

lisa did an album it was OK, now sounds dated, blondie just made an excellent album - bernard has a bunch of 'albums' including a few with charlie watts

I met Lisa in Philly at the Four Seasons Hotel lounge during No Security, even sat and had a drink with her( and chatted with Bernard, Chuck, Daryl, Bobby Keyes, brass section...all great, down to Earth folks); she is as sweet as can be imagined, said that SHE should be paying the Stones for the priviledge of singing on stage with them every night! Very modest, totally unaffected so cut out the nasty talk about Lisa!

Exactly the same impression I have of her. Also based on personal experiences on 4 continents. She's a very sweet person - and her voice! The Stones are lucky to have her on stage with them.

Lisa is Lovely and Underrated.
Her lines in Gimme Shelter give a flying feeling.

I remember my mother (yes,I persuaded her to go) saying: I liked Lisa's song
(Gimme shelter)

Very unassuming and gracious woman, and a terrific singer. Anyone who says she's 'overweight' needs their head examined (she was a bit when she sang at Live8 with Madonna, but certainly not now). For 46, she's lookin' bloody fine.

Very nice person she is.

Re: Lisa Fischer

i'm sure she's "nice." that isn't the point. so let me spell it out: she shouldn't be singing with the stones! mick jagger should be!

*and i'm just like that bird - singing just for you*

Yes, indeed Gazza! She is not skinny and wasted looking like alot of performers! She's a good example for women, not like the Kate Moss, heroin-using bag of bones style of celebrity. At 46, she is a fine looking woman.

they did? They actually had a vote to never allow a woman on their stage? Find that hard to believe. Chauvinistic bollocks if true.

If so, they'd broken it before the end of that same decade anyway

I concur. She's sexy as hell, and a hell of a singer, and the best looking thing on The Stones stage.

In those days statements like that served a useful purpose; offending fundamentalistic feminists. Nowadays they're more into shocking anti conformists.

I think she is great. Fantastic vocalist, and in Madrid, Jeez... They did "The night time is the right time" and her part was absolutely astounding, she just threw herself into it and her voice was dripping with soul...
