THE STONES ARE BACK AGAIN
(a poem by Mongoose)
The Rolling Stones are back again
Of this, we all can cheer!
Let's raise a glass of old Jack Black
Or fine imported beer
Let's run and dance out in the streets
And even hug Aunt May
Because the Stones are back again
That's all there is to say
Maybe they'll start with Start Me Up
Or possibly Wild Horses
No, that song is much too tame
According to my sources
Let's kick it off with Honky Tonk
How 'bout 2000 Man?
It really doesn't matter now
The Stones are back again
Oh, Keith will hit those crunching chords
and Ron will smoke and strut
Mick will dance and blow a kiss
And Charlie? What a nut!
Chuck and Bobby, all the guys
and gals will raise a din
And me? I wish that I was there
The Stones are back again
You can keep your Pumpkins Smashed
and bootlegs of U2
Shout WAHOO for the 'orrible Who
Or wallow in the blues
As for me, I'm happy now
It really is a sin
'Cause all the world can dance tonight
The Stones are back again
