Isle of Wight festival on TV

Just seen in the UK there is late evening recorded coverage of the festival on Channel 4.

On the 10th June it's on for 90 minutes, so should hopefully include a few Stones numbers.

might be worth keeping our eyes on e4, or more4 scheduling as this might allow for more indepth coverage, as long as big brother hasnt started, as e4 broadcast 24-7 live feed

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Friday Highlights
0040-0125

Saturday Highlights
0005-0135

Sunday Highlights
2330-0100

There's also a program on Sunday during the day 1215-1250

Also in the week running up to the festival there are 5 minute shows each with a classic performance. These are The Who, David Bowie, REM and Coldplay. Monday-Thursday of next week, all just after midnight.

On the radio there's a Best Of program with Ben Jones on Saturday and Sunday, 2000-Midnight. I'd guess as usual there'll be performances throughout the day too.

the last IOW festival i went to was 2004, and i was sad enough to take a tiny 5 inch screen black and white t.v with me, so we could gather round and watch the C4 coverage just after we got back to the campsite!

This for 8th/9th/10th June 2006, lets hope it's not too dissimilar for June 2007 ... a high of 24 deg C and no rain sounds OK to me.

Mean temps between 17.3 and 19.5, lows between 10.1 and 15.4 and highs between 24.0 and 24.4. No rain.

If sunday coverage starts at 23.35 it won't give them much time to put Stones footage in will it?
I have a horrible feeling there will be hours of Keane :s and maybe just one song, two if we're lucky from early on in the Stones set.
That would be better than nothing i guess.

wouldnt surprise me if the Stones have it in their contract to not allow more than 1-2 songs to be broadcast (or even none at all)

I'm with Gazza. I wouldn't bank on seeing any Stones on the highlights.
