I just bought the Essential Michael Jackson complilation and I had forgotten how awsome he could be at times. That period from Off The Wall to Thriller produced some of the greatest pop I've ever heard. Rock With You, Billie Jean, Beat It, Thriller etc. He continued to be hugely successful of course, but everyting from Bad onwards pales in comparison imo.

I agree Big Al, thriller and off the wall are good. Bad isnt that bad either. ]
