The horror...

This August, about the same time the Stones are up here,
they had the chance to nail the @#$%& (bloomin') Toto for a gig.

There is strong forces boiling here because of this bad judgement
by the local promotor, the bad judsgement he shows when not booking them.

To all of you who aint with me in that this is the
Loss Of The Century ; do you have something to say
to comfort the good people of Örnsköldsvik (a.k.a Foppa-town,
when we speak ice hockey)... ?

All thoughts are welcome.

The last time Toto played in Oslo they played for free - on the street(!)

Just realized I didnt write why they lost this opportunity;
they (the promotor) didnt believe he would sell out (circa
10,000 tix) for this show; due to other events those days.

Guess people have to do with the "dull" festivals in July & August
around here plus that Rulling Stunes-bunch...

To comfort the good people of Örnsköldsvik, when you speak of ice hockey... the sad, proud citizens of Toronto feel your pain. We are 40 years with no Stanley Cup. We have to watch Ottawa trounce Buffalo in the play-offs and receive merciless emails from friends, colleagues, strangers, reminding us of this. Daily. We have no Toto and even the Barenaked Ladies tour elsewhere. Stones are rehearsing in (*gasp*) Europe. We have a Blues Festival and, on the same night, have to choose between Chris Jagger and Sean Lennon. Where, oh where, is Ringo's kid? Only cure is to see the Stones in London and eat Spam, glorious Spam, for the next 10 years...

I, on my side, feel a little weary vis-a-vis all the
has-been bands circulating around here and living
on good peoples by hard work earnt money.

But maybe Toto just carries the rock 'n roll legacy.
