HYSYMB, SITS
and according to [www.timeisonourside.com], Keith indeed plays piano on LSTNT.
(isn't it Mick on piano on Indian Girl, though?)

Hey 3DTeafoe ...nice picture of Keith at the piano ..any more? I haven't seen that shot before. I really enjoy keith's playing... but only get to hear it on rare occasions. His taste in great music comes thru when he covers She still comes around. I saw him play some greats licks on piano in Miami on Honkytonk Women ..then ran into him in CT & mentioned that to him that I caught that little trick you did. Wrong choice of words as it was no trick ..just a short great boogie lick. Anyway ...I really enjoy his piano playing & wish he would release more of it. Don't want him to get like Dylan where he puts down the axe though!

Isn't there an old Ed Sullivan show with Keith playing piano on Have You Seen Your Mother, Baby?

The country tunes he did after the bust in Toronto I believe are KR on piano, though the YouTube video says Ian Stewart. Sounds exactly like Keith.

he should get behind the piano and knock us out with "coming down again" live.
now that would be cool. he could pull it off.

He has a simple but beautiful style. I love the film clip on the GYYYO DVD of him playing the blues...very nice! Ian I am sure taught him a lot.

I love Keith on piano too. I didn't know he played on She Smiled Sweetly - makes sense! I'd like to know more about when/how he learned too.

Keith's piano playing at the end of Charlie is My Darling really fun (minute 32 to 35)

swiss,
many thanks for the link! (I`ve not seen this film before)

I too like much Keith piano playing. And have read the it was really he playing on Toronto records...

Re: keith on piano

>> it was really he playing on the Toronto recordings <<

Stu played piano on Worried Life Blues and Keith played it on the other tracks from the Toronto 77 sessions.
since those are often confused with the Longview Farm 81 tracks, which are all solo Keith on piano,
it's probably a good time to re-post [www.studiowner.com] for anyone who hasn't seen it -
that's the start of the section about Keith's reconaissance mission, and includes some clips of him on piano,
but the whole site is well worth reading.
