SPAIN CONCERTS AND TICKETS II

Hola everyone!!

Recommendation, for those who want to stay in Madrid the night of the concert, 28Th June, previous or next day, or whatever, I fully recommend to make hotel, hostals reservations AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, Mdrid is almost pack for those days, Gay Parade and other events, for sure there are hundred of hotels, but prices are increasing as the BIG DAY is comin.
Barcelona should be the same, but Barcelona is more expensive than Madrid.

Hi Carlos, any update if there will be FOS/Golden Circle at Barcelona?

Good question MOWAT!

I saw the stadium on TV recently (England v Andorra, football, awful beyond words),and I think there is a running track around the pitch which means if you're in the seats you'll be a wee bit too far from the stage(s).

So I'm hoping for an FOS area too! There was one for last years non-event,I believe.

Cheers,

Si.

No news concerning stadium plan in Barcelona or Madrid, FOS will be in Barcelona for sure and Madrid as well. Estadio Olimpico is more wider than Vicente Calderón, so you will see.

Carlos, what about the "boycott"? I mean, is spanish Press still angry and aggressive against the Stones??

The Stones must like the Gay Parade in Madrid! In 2005, it was the day after the Stones show. 2 million people out for the parade.

For those are going to El Ejido, best option for fun a being closer to El Ejido, the hotels are very close to the beach just 50 meters are in Aguadulce and Roquetas de Mar, the hotels are PORTO MAGNO in Aguadulce and Colonial Mar in Roquetas de Mar.
Aguadulce is closer to Almeria and airport, and is the night live town at the province of Almeria, the fiesta is just walking from the hotel at the beach to the Harbor, 4 minutes. Here´s the link to make reservations and check hotels in that area,

2 million!!!!!!! Yikes!

They had a big gay parade in Berlin last summer when I was there for the Stones show.

These folks must follow the Stones around as much as we do!

Are you saying there's a gay thing going on in Barcelona, too, same time as the concert? Nothing against it, but I don't want the added competition for transport and hotels. That will only drive up prices. Surely, there can't be enough happy boys to have these events all over the country.

There are a few hotel websites where you can make a reservation without any immediat payment (like booking or venere). Maybe you should reserve now....

I want a single FOS ticket in Barcelona -- will they have FOS or not there?

Otherwise, it is all general admission on the field?

So no reason to buy tickets during the presale?

It is generally thought that there WILL be FOS in both Barcelona and Madrid. I have already bought tickets for El Ejido, there WASN'T FOS there. Similarly, there WASN'T for Lisbon. As for San Sebastian, of which there's no mention whatsoever as yet as far as presales/sales go, seeing as it's the smallest venue on the entire tour ... perhaps there also WON'T be FOS there either. Juding also by the fact that there IS FOS in Paris but NOT in Lyon, the conclusion I and a lot of others are drawing is that the larger stadiums have it, the smaller ones don't.

This is a great hotel for the Madrid show.
It is the closest one just a few minutes down the road to the venue.
I stayed there during the last tour and it is nice.

One exception being in Scandinavia, where there is FOS in Copenhagen (47,000) but not in Gothenburg (57,000).

Will we know in advance of the start of sales whether there will be FOS or not in Barcelona -- do they announce it ahead of time?

AND IF they do have FOS in Barcelona, is it worth it or necessary or safest trying to get them thru the presale, or is it easy enough to get a single thru the general public sale?

Well if you're worried about it, use an existing membership if you have one, or buy a new one this weekend if you don't, and then come Monday you'll be able to get what you want in the presale. Depends what price you put on piece of mind ? If $100 - the cost of a membership - is too much, then wait till the public sale on Wednesday ?

FOS is a 50/50 shot by public sale, GA is piece of cake..
