According to the Stones, every audience is the "best" audience, especially the "next" audience.

Different audiences = different ways to enjoy a Stones concert. I remember Prague 2003. The crowd wasn't wild. Not at all. But everywhere around i saw people listening to the band ecstatically. Smiling amd seeing with raptourous attention. It was like people were discovering a new world!

The crowd on the twickenham four flicks DVD is really great. Its part of what makes that such a good show to watch.

My best memories about the audience:

Paris 1990, Barcelona 2003, Glasgow 2003 & 2006, Porto 2006.

The worst: Definitely London Wembley Arena 2003 first show, people on the floor were like watching a movie, only a few applauses between the songs and nothing more.

How old are you glimmer twin? You probably won't tell me the truth. I shouldn't even post this because I'm just giving you more attention that you seem to so desperately want. So how old are you and where are you from?

Hi Jumpinjackflash59-

I was at the Parc de Prince show in Paris 90. what I remember was the heavy police presence going from the metro to PdP.It kind of set an dark tone but after we got in, the crowd was great.

Re: Best audience?

I don't remember that, i mean the police, but you're probably right. There is always some kind of paranoïa here about rock events.

we do ryanpow
you should not compare this crowd to other
official stones dvds cause most of the crowds on
official stones dvds are very bad
but there are a lot of shows with awesome crowds

I think you're right as for the the first part of the show. After five- six songs crowd improved. Not something like "Buenos Aires" or "Barcelona", of course, but the audience improved. Especially when the Stones were at stage B.

(cool smiley "and the rio crowd in 06 wasnt good too

Extremely huge audiences rarely are "wild". If you don't believe it, just see Hyde Park DVD. With the exeption of SFTD, crowd is almost sleepy... BTW, i don't think the Stones played bad in Rio. Not at all.

re: twickenham dvd. I dont think a crowd has to be going absolutley apeshIt in order to be good. It is cool when that happens, but I dont think its necesary evey time. I think theres some great shots of the audience during the first half of the concert. People dancing having a good time and getting into the songs. Ive enjoyed it. And thats really all I have left to say about it, otherwise I'll just go on repeating myself.

and If im mostly familiar with official releases, so what. If I want to, I'll talk about the best of what I've seen. and I didnt actually use the word "best" when describing that crowd anyways.

again i dont really see why the stones
film a show in london or the usa
at least not a stadium show
they should get shows from s am or spain
on dvds but there are other things like
cutting the shows to 17 songs that i do not understand
and filming 2 nights and pretending 1 like twicks03
is bad too and has a disgusting u2 touch

lots of artists do that when shooting a film. The Stones actually do it less than most, I would imagine. Its mainly done for the visual side of the production as they would otherwise only have one "take".

However, all the music from that DVD comes from the one Twickenham show (24/8/03). Some of the visuals are dubbed in from Amsterdam. They probably would have used the other Twickenham gig only it was postponed for a month.

yes gazza lots of artists do that
but it is pretty much of a shame
