I can imagine there are parts that are recycled, others that are simply thrown away, but what of the all the custom made parts, the inflatable stuff, the wallpaper etc.
Or is the whole thing sold to another band, and recustomized?
That's not very considerate. There's dozens of poor rock legends in the third world who need fire-proof stages to rock out on. I'm thinking of starting an awareness foundation.
I thought I read that the phallus got "arrested" in one of the Southern States, so it's presumably gathering dust in an evidence room somewhere like Alabama...
They need to open STONESLAND amusement park. The stages from Steel Wheels, Voodoo, Bridges, Licks, and ABB would be on the perimeter with all of the smaller stages they've use turned into bars in the middle and as soon as it goes dark, fivce concerts would be be broadcast in entirety - one from each stage - all of the pyrotechnics would go off just like at the shows - they could have breathalizers there and anyone drunk enough would be free to run and climb all over the stages as they were "performing". No concerts featuring guest musicians would be featured.
I bet the actually could charge some hardcore drunk fans for sprinting from the outside ramps, across center stage (quick stop @ Charlie's riser) on to the other outside wing. Just like Jagger does..

I'd am in favor of doing some sort of animatronic Rolling Stones Theme Park like the Hall of Presidents exhibit at Disney World... Some kind of animatronic Stones that will live on well into the next century.
Different stages with different Rolling Stones bands from various eras!
Brian... Mick Taylor... Ronnie... and as a 4 piece band without beloved Bill (12 piece band).
Special guest animatronic keyboardists: Stu Nicky Billy P Chuck
Sold as scrap metal. After a couple years of putting up and breaking down, parts get too worn out? I had a friend on a Metallica tour where they used the in-door snake pit stage. He said towards the end of the tour it was a pain to assemble and was probably going to be junked...minus the lighting, sound and video equip.

It is a town in Denmark that annually hosts the Roskilde Festival, which I believe happens in early July.

The '76 outdoor stage has actually been the logo of this festival for many years
