Ok am I the only one that heard this on the Flashpoint album?? I swear it's on there......right before "Paint It Black" I believe....

anybody else hear it? They might have thrown it in on another live album too....I just got a kick out of them putting that on Flashpoint....its' one of those familiar crowd things from Ya Ya's and they slipped it in again ....

Frash, everyone who owns the CD has heard it... it's mixed up pretty loud. Don't know if I like it or not... Not to fond of FLASHPOINT actually considering how much they left off....

I've always wondered why it's there. Why use recycled audience noise on a new live album?

I suppose if the Phoenix Theatre show is included on the live CD, we might hear that person from El Mocambo 1977(?) yelling at someone to sit down!

seem to recall it was put there by the guy who co produced it,he made his name with punk bands like the Pistols even though I can't remember his name right now (its 7.25 in the morning here ) he liked it on Ya Yas and included it on Flashpoint for some odd reason only he could come up with.
He might be called Julian something or other I'm sure someone on IORR will have the complete storry.
Couldn't agree more about Atantic City,as mentioned no overdubbbed audience calls from 20 years or so before

its just done as a little inside joke and a nod to Ya Ya's.

Its not like they needed audience noise to be dubbed in....

I love flashpoint because its the first stones album that I went crazy with. I got into the stones with voodoo lounge, and then i got flashpoint because i like live albums, and to hear some of their big songs live was really cool at the time. I think the live versions of ruby tuesday and YCAGWYW are great. And i love the "Listen to THAT....! Yeeeeaaahhhh...... Wooooooooo!" just before keiths guitar starts...! Great!

It's funny to read posts where people are genuinly shocked / suprised about very obvious stones related stuff, like the subject here, although, hey, we've all been new and naive stones fans at some point.

Sorry if I misunderstood you, but the way you opened your post with "Ok am I the only one" and then "I swear it's on there" doesn't have much conviction, i.e. almost like you weren't even sure if it was really there. I guess, like I said, I misunderstood you.

You might not have quoted me but you referred to the subject of my post
and made a remark about "new and naive Stones fans"...it seemed obvious enough to me who you were talking about. Still seems very obvious every time I reread it. Whether you meant to come across the way you did or not, it seemed a bit of an insult.
