I have just been reminded by reading about Guitars that Keith had all his stolen back in the late 70's or early 80's. Seams that a lot of you out there are very well informed, I just wondered if anyone knows if he ever got any back or if the ones he had made to replace them are as good as the originals?

Thanks for the link back to November 2006, as I have only been reading this forum since Christmas I wouldn't have known that thread existed. I would expect a lot of topics are repeated for the same reason. Thanks.

to change the title of the thread, you go back to your first post,
hit the "edit" button at the bottom, and make the changes you need.
it works for thread titles too, and once you make the change in the first post,
it "sticks" throughout the thread, so other posters don't have to keep making the correction by hand

well, you've changed it now - thanks! the principle is: i before e except after c or when it's Keith. :E

as for the stolen guitars: the big theft (as you no doubt read in that other thread) was in 71,
not the late 70s or 80s (although other guitars have gone missing through the years as well).
apparently after the Nellcote theft Keith asked Ted Newman-Jones for help replacing his instruments -

No, this is not true as far as I know. The story Jones likes to tell is that he pretended a couple of times to be one of the stagehands at Earl's Court in order to steal gear. he mentions that he stole gear from David Bowie and from the Who. About Keith he mentiones that he walked in to several party's to steal booze, including a party by Keith. Isn't this story in his autobiography somewhere?

I think Steve Jones says he broke into Keith's house (which was actually Ronnie's) at the Wick, he stole some things and tried some shirts on. I am not sure he stole any guitar at all.

Believe what you want...but Steve Jones is the main culprit.
