What´s happened with this incredible band?. First and last time i saw them was in Madrid 82 playing before the Stones. What are they doing now?. Are they touring USA?
As far as I remember Freeze Frame followed Tattoo You (or the other way round) on #1 spot of US lp charts giving EMI a record of being on #1 for more than half a year in 1981. J. Geils Band is a fine example of Together we stand, divided we fall.
They were back on tour a few years ago during the summer; I saw Peter Wolf at the Four Seasons in Boston after the Stones show in October; Looks the same with the beret and all;
They don't suck! While Love Stinks isn't a classic, they have an amazing cannon of material...and are incredible live! They did reform a few years ago for a tour and got rave reviews. I would love to see them back together and putting out some new material.

I see that your email is not available , no balls , eh ?
This band does not suck!! If you have never seen them live, you have no idea what your mising. This band is really nothing like "The Centerfold" Album. VEry bluesy rock n roll. I wish they would get back together. I saw them in Northern Virginia back in 1999 and Peter Wolf was like Mick Jagger, all over the place and had the crowd into it.
J. Geils Band is one of the best live bands you will ever see. A full time harp player and a Hammond B3...well that says it all. A show filled with energy and passion.
"There's a place right down the street, where everybody likes to meet, they got a band playin all night long, everybody moves when they play this song, they do the Southside Shuffle."
They are/were a great band when they play blues/R&B covers, such as on "Live-Full House", but I have always felt that their original material, at least the songs that are their commercial "hits" pale by comparison and are pretty lame.

To make this statment you are either uneducated in the sounds and talents of the J Geils Band or to young/ stupid to know better. possibly both
I mean I am all for a little stirring of the pot and such but this statement on a Stones board is insane. The Geils bands rocks, if you can't see that I don't understand what you see in the Stones. The bands are similer in some styles and VERY similer in the ability to get a crowd shaking thier ASSES! (or arses for my pals on the other side of the pond)
To say that the J Geils Band sucks is nothing short of blatant ignorance...I saw them several times in the 70's and can say that their shows were just fantastic. Centerfold, Freeze Frame, were disappointments for me, tho...
The one that hooked me, bloodshot vinyl and all. These guys blew the roof off Cape Cod Coliseum and the Boston Garden many times!! One of the best performing rock 'n roll parties you'd ever see. If you missed them in their prime, sorry for you.
One of the great bands I am sorry to say I never got to see. To my knowlege they have not played together since 1999, and have not heard of any future plans for them touring or recording and new stuff.
