Well, apart from Stones records (their concerts are too expensive for me at the time), I know MT's guitar playing from some of his sessions for others. And I like the way that one can hear it's him. I'm still scratching at the surface as far as his solo albums are concerned, but if he played in my city, I'd come around and listen to the gig. But anyhow, I'd love to hear him release some new studio recordings, because the DJ in me prefers albums over concerts.

Saw Mick Taylor in the late eighties in a small club in Detroit. He was totally drunk, BUT WAS ON FIRE! He really made his guitar sing...and a lot of classic blues and great slide. He dis a truely sublime versions of Key to the Highway, and Ventalator Blues....during his break we went out to smoke a joint and low and behold there he was having a smoke. He came over to our group and asked if we had any pot for him and of course we were honored to oblige!
Was very friendly and appreciated of his fans...! Great time!

I saw Mick Taylor last september in Helsinki Wentus Blues Bands 20-years anniversary concert. Mick played in his part great versions of Blind Willie McTell and Ventilator Blues and then wonderful jamming with legends like Eddie Kirkland, Lazy Lester, Lousiana Red, Omar Dykes and Kim Wilson etc... It has indeed happended before, with the Stones. It happened in Kansas City 13 December 1981, if I am not mistaken. Haven't you heard the boot?

At the time Taylor was right for the Stones and vice/versa. Takes ice cream AND milk to make a milkshake; they were a great shake back then...

I crashed my car when I was 18 while hearing a Mick Taylor solo. I survived. It was my 1st appreciation for Taylor.

When listen to the albums from the Taylor-years I´ve realized that all the really good bass-playing is his. I think he plays bass on at least half of the songs on GHS. For example just listen to Dancing with mr D and hear those nice little bass licks that gives the song another dimension.
