Re: Still no concert list for this summer, how come?

If you want to get the cheap prices you have to book 1 to 2 months in advance. If you book 2 weeks in advance the price of the low-cost airlines is quite the same as the price of the traditional carriers. There is a website about this, I can't find it now - but they checked prices and booking times and the result was that it's cheapest 2 months in advance, then it gets more and more expensive until it reaches the price of normal airlines. Anyway. If they tour July it's fine for me. June would be a bit of a hassle as it's my last semester at uni...

I used to be a neggy nay-say on this, but even I agree that karma's pointing their way. Not that it makes a difference to me being a North American.

UK is not in Europe!
Really funny.
Every time I visit friends living in UK they tell me
they will go to "Europe", so they have declared UK
being across the channel and outside Europe.
No wonder it is expensive from UK to Europe!

Meanwhile:

Dear Stones Fan,

This year, don't settle for a Heart of Stone. Instead, get yourself or your loved one a Heart of Pewter, with the 2007 version of the Valentine's Day Tongue Pin. Get one free with any purchase of $35 or more in the Rolling Stones Official Store (not including music or video), while supplies last, through Valentine's Day. Don't be a (Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo) Heartbreaker-pick up a shirt, jacket, hat, collectable or accessory, get your Valentine's Pin and give it to someone you love (or want to love)!

If you are trying to figure out what to pick up, take a look at the Football Merch from last year's Super Bowl. The remainder of these items are marked down 40% through this Wednesday-and then will be removed from the store, so this is your last chance to grab them.

Thanks,

who said it wasnt?

the "cheap flights at short notice across Europe " option may well be appropriate from Norway, but I can tell you its not the case in this country, and certainly not with the low-cost airlines. The earlier you book the better. Simple as that.

correct- but even this, isn't as cheap or readily available as
the airline advertising would like you to believe.

Then again, if you can book early enough it can be just as cheap to fly with a 'normal cost' airline such as British Airways, particularly if you factor in the cost of going to/from the airport you actually depart/arrive into.

Shattered would make a great opening number, let's push for it!

After seven shows there in 1998 and 2003 people know now about the bad Amsterdam Arena sound. It was reported in every newspaper over there during the 2006 ticket sale period. I think there was even a campaign to convince the Stones NOT to announce the 2nd show, but to do one in Rotterdam.

Two shows at the Kuip would probably sell out within days/ weeks. I cannot imagine a 2007 tour without their 2nd or 3rd biggest European market - actually even market No. 1 in Europe if you see the proportion between number of shows and small population. But probably no show in the East of the country if Dusseldorf is announced.

Beast of Burgk: these are exactly my thoughts...

PS So Dusseldorf, here we come! Because I'm afraid that promotor Mojo will break rather than bend...

I have been using Ryanair between the cities of London, Glasgow, Manchester, Brussels, Oslo, Milan, Dublin and a few more. I do never pay more than 40 Euro total, some times less, only one time Milan slightly more because I wanted to see the World Cup final two days before the tour opening. They fly at odd hours like 6am and 11pm but they get you there cheap. Sure you have to pay for beer and coffee but that's the same with everone these days.

If they make up for the cancelled St Peterburg show, that would probably be the easternmost show this year.
