Thinking about Shattered, I realize I haven't been Shidobeed yet!

I'm too lazy to check, but I'm quite sure they did not play it in Rotterdam (Kuip I&II) during the Licks Tour. And certainly not in the other shows I've seen afterwards. Who knows, this summer, my life will finally really begin...

yeah, Rooster thats What I was guessing. Ive been to that stadium a few times. I know it used to looked like that, but since they re modeled it I dont think it looks like that in the outfield area anymore, with the plants and trees and stuff. I dont remember seeing that the last time i was there seeing the stones, but It was at night.

One of the best songs of the '78 tour.
Loved the background vocals---gave it energy.

The '81/82 versions, Keith changed his guitar sound signiicantly and while it was still cool not quite as great as it had been.

I am not familiar with the post '78 versions and am not sure that is a bad thing.

Its about time for them to go back..and stop the flim -flam..lets do the whole show on the B-stage!

SHATTERED is worthy of being an over played Warhorse...they should play it every night every show...great great song. All the Stones were in '78 wrapped into one song.

Hi Rooster, no I think that's an Oakland shot

It was the song I heard on the radio as a youngster of 12 that blew me away. Those guitars, that driving frantic energy. Awesome tune.

love the LSTNT version of shattered, i know its edited but it still rocks,really great when mick, keith and woody are all singing together

another great Moment of that Version is the Crazed look on Micks Face while he's chewing gum and pointing to himself going "Look at ME!!! I've been shattered Look at ME!!!". Although superior in Many Ways, Hampton fails to capture moments like this the way Hal Ahshby does in LSTNT.


----post Edit Hal Ahsby also directed the Hampton concert. I do still think that LSTNT captured some special kinds of moments that are not in the other show, but the edits in it make it not as good.

It's not my favorite, heard it to much.

I dont hear it so much anymore lately...I never hear it on the radio...I play it(the 78 live version) in my home ...after that disaster wth the twin towers people in NY danced to it...I dreamed last night I dreamed that Keith and Ronnie would sing with Jagger again..it akes SHATTTERD RAW..it have to be raw!

Thats right...but its never to late to get raw again.

Shidoobee = cool-sounding nonsense, nothing to do with Scooby Doo.

BTW, I'm pretty sure Shaggy was a pot head - unkempt hair and clothes, always had the munchies, etc.
