Mick & Keith both participated on his last album I believe (at least Mick). Don´t know if he toured behind it. When we mat him at Fenway at the evening for the dressrehearsals, he was´nt very talkative.

Saw them in Göteborg long time ago, would love to see them again. I don´t care about the comparisons people like to make between them and the Stones. They are their own band, and if influenced by anything, it would be the Yardbirds.
OK, they have a singer and a guitarist that stand out from the rest of the band, does that make them a Stones wannabe band? Don´t think so.

Well...i know it sure is fun and i always wanted to go to Goteburg...what kind of town is it Roo...is it a litle bit like Rotterdam or Hamburg?? sure i am gonna drink some(some?) beers with you vikings this year!!??

In my opinion, it´s nothing like the dutch cities you mentioned. I´ve visited both in the past. Göteborg is Swedens largest harbour, but you won´t notice, since it´s situated in the west coast of Sweden, and it has so many beautiful scenarios. If you visit Göteborg, you will have acess to the archepilago, wich is in my opinion one of the best to be found in Europe. You can go swimming in the ocean naked, take the tram back to town, meet some easy going people, get drunk, and have a hell of a time. Not to forget, if you visit during the same week the Stones are visiting, you get to hang with the Nordic Stones Vikings, and we´ll guarantee a good time!

not at the same time, so they didnt perform "with" them...

Saw them in 94 and 99. Great shows, both of them....But doesnt got the charge and the emotions of a Rolling Stones concert!!!

Compared to Norway, no. You´ll get a 40-50-60 cl beer here for approx. 4 euro.
But you get free entrance as everybody else that signed up for the pre-show at www.stonesvikings.com for free, and we´ll probably get the beer/booze even cheaper...

Not on the same stage at the same time. But I believe they did appear in the 90's around 1994 on maybe MtV music awards? I think the Stones did 2 numbers 'Love is Strong' maybe and 'Start Me up'. Aerosmith I think did one song off of their latest at the time 'Get A Grip'.

Aerosmith is at least starting to look like the Rolling Stones... they're getting up there too... they are a solid classic hard rock band who is/was influenced by the Stones. They be good.

The Stones are my favorite and of course without them there would be no Aerosmith. You can't blame Aerosmith for wanting to be like the Stones, Who doesn't? That said, I think you could argue that Aerosmith is the greatest rock 'n' roll band in the world. To wit: The same line up their entire career. They've been more relavant for longer than any one else. We old guys love 'em & the MTV generation loves them. They have had hits for over 30 years. And they come from the USA. I think even the Stones & Beatles wanted to be from the USA in the beginning. The USA invented R'n'R (I know Keith Perfected it) & I think being from the US gives them an edge & attitude that is as pure as rock 'n' roll gets. The Stones are my #1, but...

Aerosmith will headline the Sweden rock festival.I hope they come to Australia.I saw them in 1999 in Germany on my European backpacking adventure.A new album is in the works as well.I take my hat off to Aerosmith too,simply for the fact that they are still recording and releasing good albums unlike Van Halen,Eagles,Kiss etc who only tour and don't record.
