The rumor is, obviously, and unfortunately, just that.

As to those who question whether "young people" would care....while on the surface that is a legitimate question (as it would be for any band that has done nothing for 26 yrs), at least where I live (NY) it would be waayy bigger than the Stones among the under 21 crowd---waayy bigger. Frankly, I am not sure it is even close.

All that said, it is kind of a moot point, at best.

Well kinda. I'm down at my place in the Sunshine state right now. But I also spend time on my farm in VA.

My grandpa was involved in politics. He had the Billy beer. I think the term he used for it was "swill."

Members Only jackets - what a gawd awful joke - yuk those were ugly!

LEGENDARY rockers Led Zeppelin are set to re-group after 22 years for a money-spinning stadium tour of America.

(it's been 27 years - 5 years off)

Robert, 54, Jimmy, 58, and 56-year-old John Paul met two weeks ago at the offices of their management firm Trinifold.

(Plant's 59, Page is 63, Jones is 61 - 5 years off)

This pretty much confirms that the article was written 5 years ago.

They didn't have that many hits because they didn't release that many singles - there was no need to. Their entire albums were great and that is what everybody bought. Their LPs did exceptionally well, much better than the Stones ever did.

LEZ ZEPPELIN TO PLAY LONDON
The all girl New York tribute band, Lez Zeppelin, are set to play the Mean Fiddler in London this Sunday, 11th February. The four piece girl group, Sarah McLellan, Vocals, Steph Paynes, Guitar, Lisa Brigantino, Bass and Keyboards and Helen Destroy, Drums plays London after a string of gigs in Europe including Germany, Holland and France. The group recently have been recording at the famous Electric Lady Studios in New York City, recording there first album with legendary producer/engineer, Eddie Kramer. Kramer is best known - to us, anyway! -- for his work on Led Zeppelin II, Led Zeppelin III, Houses of the Holy and Physical Graffiti, as well as the live soundtrack, The Song Remains the Same.

(the above is from TIGHT BUT LOOSE, Dave Lewis' excellent Zep-site)
