Well, the Who is a big consideration, but with AC/DC most likely hitting the road by the end of this year or early next, that's where most of my concert saving dollars are going.

So, next show will likely be a freebee - Gerry & the Pacemakers and Peter & Gordon at the Santa Monica Pier - August 21

also considering Johnny Winter October 2nd at the Canyon Club, and maybe Pat Benatar later this month at the Fillmore, if I choose that over a Gourmet Dinner at one of my favorite San Francisco eating establishments.

Iron Maiden in Stockholm tomorrow.

Just saw The Alarm in NYC this past weekend.

They were a good live band back in the 80s, but considered more like U2-light, or Bob Dylan meets the Clash because of leader Mike Peters acoustic guitar and harmonica playing mixed with somewhat of a punk band.

The lineup they have had over the last several years, with James Stevenson on guitar, is better than the 80's line-up.

One of the best live sets I have seen by any band in several years. Pure energy and enthusiasm. I highly recommend them if you get a chance to catch them this summer.

You are in for treat with REM. I saw them in Toronto last month (with Modest Mouse with Johnny Marr). REM is a band reborn on this new CD and live. They really played with more fire and passion than I have seen from them in years.

Bluz,ya got me curious. Where are you considering having a gourmet dinner at in SF?

well maybe not gourmet, but good!

2 of my favorite places are Taditch Grill and the North Beach Restaurant.

Nothing like a good veal dish with a bottle of good Cabernet.

The Tadich is indeed one of the finest,best regarded places in town. Not so familiar with the North Beach restaurant in particular,but I have a fondness for veal as well...God I hope Little Queenie doesn't see this.LOL


Back OT. My next show is Steely Dan in Lake Tahoe early Aug.
