Never really listened to them but!! They did warm up for the Stones in Wichita Kansas and I saw them!

I saw them last week, what a great show!

Tomorrow night it's Primal Scream for me at the 1100 capacity Regent Theater in Skid Row Los Angeles!

Cocoon tonight and Sting@Bataclan on Saturday...that one's going to be a bit "special".

It was great to see her, she is still sharp and funny and her voice at 84 years old is surprisingly strong. Her son plays guitar in her backing band and he and her twin daughters sang a few numbers before Loretta came out and also joined her in Coal Miner's Daughter at the end of the night. She did a Conway Twitty duet with one of her band members and some of the band did a few of their own numbers while she watched and rested.

The Lincoln Theatre is a cool venue, people are allowed to come right up to the stage and many did to give her flowers and cards and to take pictures of themselves with Loretta in the background. She was gracious to everyone.

Next best part was a trip to DC institution Ben's Chili Bowl, next door to the venue. The jukebox has some killer soul songs!

Sure there will be more before I go but just bought tix for five Lucinda Williams concerts (!!) Two at the Fillmore (SF), two in Portland and one Seattle.
First one is on inauguration day here in the states... couldn't be better timing..
