hopefully, the Yoko Ono of football, will retreat to a Scientology Cult HQ, (with her new bestest friend Mrs Cruise), when she arrives in L.A,
and never darken the doorstep of the UK ever again.

..and as for her husband-
stick to the Gillette and Pepsi commercials, son, it's what you're best at.

Mrs Beckham will no doubt enjoy the shops of Rodeo Drive and partying in Beverly Hills....as one paper puts it...'Posh and Bucks'!

Becks made a wise choice in choosing America. The football could need a lift over there and there's stuff to do after his career ends. I just can't help but think that his wife also had a saying in this. Anyway he can do one or two things for American soccer. Not my favourite player at all, but good luck to him.

Who's David Beckham? Has he ever played with The Stones? Or is this tread on a wrong forum?

Have a nice day everyone of the Stones-people out there.

Good news for Real Madrid
Bad news for Barça
Handsome, mediatic god, but mediocre player

Wouldn't say so. He's surely in the top three for the side midfielders today. I just never thought he worked as good in Real Madrid as he did in Manchester United.

Totally overrated whining lil turd.

I love soccer/football and as a passionate Englishman I'm glad he's no longer in our national team.

Can we get back to talking about the Stones now?

Guess who negotiated his mega deal? why American Idol Simon Fuller. The deal itself is not all cash, it includes a total value including endorsements, commercials, and perks. I wonder what Fuller's percentage of the deal is? 10%?

Rumor has it that he may be helping to lure other soccer players away from the English teams.

I know it is Friday, but some people here behave like monkeys. If fact monkeys would be ashamed. I know this is sort of US vs Europe thing, at least some people try to use it as a good reason for throwing some dirt. Please be warned. I have already deleted one post being offensive, and if I have to do so again I will delete the posting access and not justy the post. Please show some respect. Thank you.

Then a training course for people who seems to know nothing or too much about David Beckham. Fact is he is one of the world's greatest football players. We are talking soccer-version i.e. what they play in England, Brazil etc. There may be other players being equally good or even better, but David Beckham is unique. Unless you hate him or his teams, and as long as you have seen him play the ball at times, you have to agree he is simply magic. Then he is married with a celebrity on her own. Together they are the most famous couple in the world, when it comes to fame, sports, idols, sales of jerseys etc. They are simply a money machine, like it or not.

I think it is very smart business and sports wise to move them to LA. I remember when Wayne Gretzky moved to LA. I am a big ice hockey fan. Before he came LA was not really booming hockey wise. As the world's greatest hockey player he arrived with lots of excitement, and the California area got a big push in that sport. I think he even got them some great wins. Now you have the LA Kings, Anaheim Mighty Ducks and San Jose Sharks all having following by larger crowds.

All the best to David Beckham. And have a safe trip to LA this summer. I will probably be going to Madrid the very same time as he leaves the city for LA. Too bad he will miss the Stones, that is if they still hold Madrid on the tour schedule for the summer...

WORD!

Most here in the US don't give a turd about soccer.

BUT EVEN MORE IMPORTANT
I don't give a turd about soccer news on a Stones board, unless Ronnie is moving to Cleveland to start his own soccer team

David Beckham was indeed, one of the finest footballers in the world,
(circa 1997-2002).
It's my opinion, he was never quite the same, after the foot injury he picked up prior to the 2002 WC Finals in Japan.
Possibly the finest crosser and dead-ball specialist, i have had the pleasure (and club-wise, pain) to see.
However, Alex Ferguson and now, Fabio Capello have both 'relieved' him of his duties, at their respective clubs, for a reason-a very good reason.
The spectre of showbusiness/celebrity fame,
has long cast a shadow over his footballing prowess, and however much he bleats, that the showbiz lifestyle doesn't affect his day-job, his 2 club bosses, have clearly disagreed.
Alex Fergusson, a man with impecible footballing judgement, was correct to banish Beckham from Manchester United....no one man is bigger than the team.
The showbiz lifestyle that is a precedence for The Beckhams and their brand, can be fully exploited in The States, without his football being tested or his judgement coming under the microscope.

SENS!!!!

I know we've had a lousy star this year, but for the last 4-5 years we've had a pretty awesome team. Not that I'm a hockey NUT (my obesessive knowledge is Stones - not sports).
