OT : Advice To A Bar Band

A bar owner's overheard tip to the band: "If a fight breaks out, play louder and faster" (that's a true story)

"and, if someone starts shooting, then, for Godsakes, get DOWN!" (I made up that part for dramatic emphasis LOL)

Things you DON'T DO:

1. Take the bar owner's daughter home with you (yep, I did that -- amazingly, we got asked back, and luckily, no one got hurt -- she ended up staying with me for several months, but I DON'T recommend it as standard procedure -- here in West Virginia, shotgun weddings DO happen)

2. Be late for a gig (as a corollary to this, ALWAYS check your fuel gauges before a road trip -- running out of gas in the middle of nowhere is VERY uncool)

3. Be unprepared if the power goes off (always keep an acoustic guitar or two handy)
