HARD KNOX AND DURTY SOX
Who remembers that phrase?

It was on the inner sleeve of Let It Bleed. What did it mean? I for one, never understood. The admonition "THIS RECORD SHOULD BE PLAYED LOUD"... that part, I understood.

I suppose I've read it that way too...

It's unusual that a phrase just found its way onto the bottom of an album's liner notes - devoid of any context. It seems like it belongs in a song lyric somewhere.

Nope.

It's what Keith wanted the title of Let It Bleed to be.

Yes, it was the original title for the album - although a really bizarre title for an album. One wonders what is 'left to bleed' ??

So, Rockman...

Have you got all of your photos cross-referenced with keywords?
so then all you'd have to do is type:

"keith ... socks"

then this matching photo would come up on your computer screen...

That's how you do it, right?

The photo of Keith is taken as his bday party in December 1969 at (I believe) Olympic studios, where the "Brown Sugar" version w/Eric Clapton was recorded. Purporedtly, Keith passed out moments after this pic was snapped. This is the purpose of my old age, to fill in all the missing blanks for you kids!

That's not a bass, it's that lucite guitar kieth played.
I think those are guitar speaker cabs too. Ampeg makes some juicy guitar amps.

But you are spot on about that Neumann U87, (or Telefunkin) it is unusual to use it to record amps.
