Preferred Vol. 3 ("Solitary man") to all the others, but Vol.5 was certainly excellent - and in his cover of Hank William's 'Evening Train' it contained the most moving performance of any song I've heard in a long time

Felt the same way about Rose of My Heart. In fact the whole disc is extremely moving. No question Johnny saw the end of the tunnel when putting this one together. I'm usually a "c'mon it's just music" kind of person, but this disc really hits the soul.

I personally like III the least, but there really is little drop-off over all the American series. What a great comeback the last several years were for Johnny. Rest in Peace JC.

Stones - Saitama (best combination of performance/setlist/sound quality)
Stones - Steel Wheels Outtakes (Monitor Mix?) - Better than the real deal!

Best Reissue:

The Allman Brothers - Eat A Peach (best quality yet and a bonus concert from the Fillmore!)

Dissapointments:

Neil Young - Living With War

Overall, not a bad year looking back!
