Peter Boyle, who gained fame playing everything from a tap-dancing monster in “Young Frankenstein” to the curmudgeonly father in the long-running TV sitcom “Everybody Loves Raymond,” has died. He was 71. Boyle died Tuesday evening at New York Presbyterian Hospital. He had been suffering from multiple myeloma and heart disease, according to his publicist, Jennifer Plante.


Oh so sad! Young Frankenstein is my favorite all-time comedy. He was so good in that.

I think I remember hearing that Keith & Peter were friends, not positive though.

yeah....he also played Hunter Thompson's Samoan attorney (Laslo?) in Where The Buffalo Roam, with Bill Murray starring as Hunter Thompson (remember that nugget?....but not nearly as good as the Fear and Loathing version with Johnny Depp)

Huges Stones fan, too. Was at the Wiltern gig in '02.....

was good friend of Keith's. Took him to Knick's games

sad to lose such a wonderful actor and person will be missed for sure

RIP great one. He was great in Taxi Driver and Monster's Ball.

Lennon was best man at his wedding. Their wives were close friends

I saw him walk into Roseland. Heard he was a freind of Lennon's as well.

He had some great one-liners in THE DREAM TEAM

Aw, that's a pisser. Funny guy. Great in a lot of things, my favorite will always be Young Frankenstein. Makes me laugh just thinking about it. RIP
