July 1978, MIcks birthday. Oakland,Ca. Some Girls tour. Opening acts, Santana,Eddie Money, Peter Tosh. What started out as an afternoon show turned into an evening show, because there was a 2 HOUR wait between Santana and the stones, that featured circus acts. Including a high wire act above the stage.

My first show was in June of 1972, Boston Garden, Boston, Ma and I was 19. It was pure magic, as have all of the 36 Stones shows that followed!

I paid off a security guard $125.00...he put me right in the red section (at the time) next to the stage and I've been hooked ever since.
Let's see...in those days a ticket was $14.50 so I paid about 9X the price.
In terms of todays dollars, I would have paid $450 X 9 = $4050.

The Forum, Inglewood, Nov. 8, 1969, 2nd. Memorialized on Disc 1 of Cocaine On A Dentist Chair (Disc 2 is Champaign), Street Hassle In LA and Born In The Crossfire Hurricane. The show did not start until the wee hours of the morning. Strong performance by Keith. One of the best SFTD performances, pre-Taylor solo.

1981 Pontiac Silverdome....Santana and Iggy Pop warmed up. 80,000 sold out concert and the entire stadium was general admission. Crazy! I was still in high school and had never been exposed to such a freak fest rock n' roll environment. Was an eye opener. Drove out the night before in my dad's station wagon with my buddies, and had Exile on Main Street on cassett, and Some Girls, and we listed to it all night. Got a little sleep, then stood out in the freezing cold starting at 8 in the morning until they opened the gates at four, and the Stones didn't hit the stage until 10:30!

Lord I hate to admit this but it Was July 4th at RFK in Wash D.C
The only saving grace(I think) was I was only 16 at the time.

I was a wide eyed 19 year old. I saw and heard things there I had never seen or heard before! For instance; there was a dude walking around the floor with a sign that read "ACID $10" and there were the chicks up front sitting on their boyfriends shoulders without their shirts on.

June 9 1995, Valle Hovin Stadium in Oslo, with my parents. I had then been a fan for 2-3 years, but it means that I "just" missed the two shows in Oslo in 1990 - and in 1990 it had been 25 years since they were in Norway at all! Anyway, I do not remember much from the show - was too awestruck! And definitely hooked for life after that.

June 20 1982, Gothenburg,Sweden. I had a bucket of water thrown over my head by Mick. My best mucical memory from the concert was Keiths opening riffs to Start me up. Wonderful guitar sound...
