INSTANT KARMA IS GONNA GET YOU/ IT GOT THE STONES

--- PS. Please DO NOT use upper case on IORR!!!! (from IORR Editor) ---

For many years our boys have used people left and right and when they didn't serve their purpose they got rid of them without any mercy, perfect example Brian ,Jimmy Miller, Nicky Hopkins,Billy Preston and many others that were part of the stone's history, well what goes around comes around and all the bad karma that has surrounded this tour is pay back for all shit they did to others.

What a ridiculous post. Are you The Judge to assess whose turn it is to get bad karma?

Yeah you can make a case that Karma, fate, whatever, has got back at them. Yeah the way they have used people over the years is pretty well documented. But you can also make a case for survival of the fittest. It's an ugly business, use or be used. This is also one of the most scrutinized bands ever. Their are a lot of bands out there that did essentialy the same thing. Also I don't think that things have been that bad for the stones lately.

Micks dad was 93. Sad that he died, but still a good long life. Ronnies brother, from what I understand was in his late 60's and probably not in real good health to begin with. Mick has had throat problems for years. Their own physical ailments, well hey they are in their 60's. It's just that because it is the Rolling Stones, everything becomes so tragic. It is nothing compared to stuff like Robert Plant or Eric Clapton losing their young sons. Now that is bad karma.

You know that making a thread like this gives bad karma Ropeni? It'll bite you in your butt in a week.

Beelyboy, can't agree with you more. I think it may be down to how people view life. Is the glass half empty or half full. I saw both shows at Twicks. Was a nightmare getting back home. But who cares. The shows were stunning. And I was priviliged to be there. If I'm still around in the future I can say I was there. Just like the guy I met at Twicks who was at Hyde Park 1969. Who can say I was there. It would have been so easy for Mick to pull out of that show after hearing his father just died. But he went on to perform for others putting his grief aside for a while. That is being a real man. I don't care about the Stones critics. Every day they are around they have never ceased to amaze me. Maybe not untill they are gone will people truly see the light that shines as the Greatest Rock n Roll band of all time.

They didn't drop Nicky Hopkins or Billy Preston, they weren't band members, just (great) session men. Nicky's stomach complaint got so bad he couldn't or wouldn't go on the road with them anymore. What rule says you have to keep using the same guys over and over? A change is often as good as a rest. Same for producers & I hear Jimmy Miller had pretty much burned himself out by Goats Head Soup. It's very judgemental to say they "they got rid of them without any mercy". Were you there? Do you really know the circumstances?

well, i guess it's a shade better than that person who was gloating that deaths in Stones' families
are cosmic payback for the Stones having to cancel a show that he had tickets for -
but yeah, this seems awfully judgemental in an awfully unpleasant way.
i sure am glad my mind doesn't work that way.
