Saturday, November 25th, 2007 - official news??

I'm pretty sure - though I don't have any sources - that the Rolling Stones will confirm their 2007-tour on Saturday, November 25th, at the morning of the last US-show (Vancouver)...the same procedure as in 2005 for 2006.

You could be right. I was thinking the same the other day. Would be a perfect day for it.

Maybe the Stones could play Vancouver, Washington, which is just across the river from Portland. Then we could say it's the last Canadian and US shows.

I'm just glad that the Vancouver concert isn't being postponed or cancelled because of Mick's father passing. When I read the news, I thought for sure that it would affect the remainder of the tour.
From what I understand Bonnie Raitt is now the opening act. I would much rather see Van or Alice Cooper opening.

I must admit the whole "US Tour" designation has peeved me for years. Why is 72 called the US tour when it opened in Vancouver. Why is BC Place he last night of a US tour. A NA tour would be closer but would probably cheeze off the CA countries that don't get a show.

"but i hope its in the US as i've always wanted to move there and that would make things easier" ????????????????????????????????????

think you need to change the date on the headline of the thread to 2006?

why are you 'pretty sure' even though you 'dont have any sources' ?

Personally, I'd be surprised if they announced a tour on a Saturday as that would tend to have lesser media impact than a weekday

Incidentally, they didnt announce the 2006 leg on the same day as the last 2005 show. The 2005 tour ended on 3rd December. The European tour was announced on 29/11/05, but they had already announced 2006 US shows as far back as mid-September

Eastern Europe will come a lot I believe. Much more than usual. 10-15 shows behind the former Iron Curtain I think incl. the former GDR (East Germany).

Chorzow (Katowice)/Poland and Erfurt/Germany are already strong rumours.

An announcement in Vancouver makes sense. Vancouver is basically sold out - 50,000 seats or whatever.

I'll be very surprised if any announcement will be made...my feeling still is that they wont play next year, certainly not extensively if at all

Tour of the Americas, wasn't it? Canada is in north America.

They could be his back up band. Goddam Chuck uses crappy pick up bands every where he goes and doesn't rehearse -- waste of money on most nights.

Hey Keefstheman. I'm not smoking anything, although maybe I wish I was! Bonnie Raitt is someone who I neither like nor dislike. I believe she was just recently in Vancouver, too. Never seen Van Morrison before. I know for certain he hasn't played Vancouver in at least 20 years. I'm also a huge Alice fan so I wouldn't mind seeing him again.
When I paid $400 for my ticket I thought it's not too bad since Van is opening and I probably would have paid to see him in concert.
At this point, I just hope the concert doesn't get cancelled/ postponed for any health reasons.
