RSConcerts.com - will the DVDs work in the UK?
Date: November 13, 2006 19:50

If I bought DVDs from this site, would they be likely to work in the UK, or are they Region 1?

Bootlegs are mostly region code 0 wich means no code at all
The only issue you have to think about is PAl or NTSC

NTSC is the format for video in the US and in Japan
It's not as good as PAL and during the VHS era people nicknamed it "Never The Same Colors"

PAL is european to make it simple

On DVD the difference isn't that noticeable if you arent a maniac.
Your computer will read any format, but standalone DVD players and TVs sometime don't play NTSC or in B/W.
It depends on the player you have.

don't know if it adds anything useful, but:
European equipment is pretty likely to be equipped to play NTSC stuff;
it seems to be less common for North American equipment to cooperate with PAL.

eeemh, 22 euro for a concert on dvdr is a little bit expensive... costprize is about 1 euro, shipping 2, so he should ask about 3 euro... dont buy from here... when you pay 22 euro you should get silvers.

All dvd-stand-alone players in Europe support NTSC+PAL.
If there's a region code, you can easily break it: go to www.videohelp.com, look for your dvd-player and crack it to "all regions" or "0".
Easy.
