I never get sick of it. "I hit the bottle and hit the sack and cried."

Me either. I play in on my acoustic at least once a week.

Gotta love it.

She was on TIM RUSSERTS CNBC cable show 2 weeks ago for an hour. Being a Photographer I'm a big fan of her early work. Her Corporate work doesn't move me. She has a new book out. There's a great B/W alternative/outtake Jagger shot from the Wandering Spirit shoot that they showed. She wasn't that kind about the Stones. When Tim asked her what it was like hanging with all these macho guys on the '75 tour she said she finds Jagger very feminine and very far from macho. It wasn't WHAT she said but the attitude that "all that rock and roll sh*t is far behind me" I know see had months of rehab after the tour but it ain't the Stones fault she became addicted to coke and God knows what else. Anyway, the worst thing of all is she really doesn't speak well. She stammers, stutters, and searches for endless lost words that she can never find (stick with the camera Annie). The book looks great, the interview was very TEDIOUS...

Fantastic song, posibly the last of those epic on-the-road ballads. Had no idea it was supposed to be about Annie Liebowitz. Where did you learn this little queenie/micksbrain? Presumably with lines like "I'm heading up to Boston, I'm singing in a bar" it is only fairly loosely based on her. Wonder how she felt being described as having a curved nose and curved teeth.

Didn't she loan Mick a pair of panties once during this tour?

i was doing some reading about warhol after seeing a PBS documentary. i found this link which has a lot of info about the stones in montauk, where they hung with warhol, hung out at the memory motel bar, and had annie as their photographer:

What can I say but:

"It's just some friends of mine and they're busting down the door"

So that's what that line is? Pretty damn good line. I love this song even more now. Too bad the stones don't like it enough, to play it more.

i've posted this before but i'll tell it again.
I am from Long Island New York, and montaulk is my favorite summer spot. Most people my age, 25, like the hamptons because of the scene it provides, ie 80 dollar nights and the feeling of being it, this includes most of my friends. Luckily my good buddy has a house in montaulk that his family has owned for years and i've been traveling there on weekends with him since i was a little one.
The first time i saw the stones was on the bridges tour at giant stadium when i was 16. I've caught em 12 times since then, but it was on that tour when i saw them for my second time at the garden that they played the song Memory Motel. I knew this was a motel in montaulk. The motel is a seedy little joint but there is a bar there. It is now my favorite drinkin establishment that i have been to. possibly the greatest juke box of all time if your a stones fan only dont play memory unless you want a few dirty looks. I go there all the time during the summer now, and although it looks like a dump, its a great time and all the locals go there, i work a summer job working weekends so on monday and tuesday nights its frequented by girls my age believe it or not. The walls are decorated with stones album covers, and the bartenders are always libral pouring the liquers, great time.
As i said my friend has a house there so i never stayed at the motel untill this past new years when i decided not to go to the city for the 5th straight year. Had my girlfriend with me so i couldnt stay at my buddies house, he is on the softball team with the owner from the memory, so i got a deal, not to mention a jersey that says memory motel that i wear to every stones show, but thats a different story altoghether. The hotel rooms were terrible but i loved it knowing that its got a special place in rock history. oh, and i swear to god, the pillow smelt like p*ssy

Then I said Hi, like a spider to a fly...
