Yesterday I purchased what I think is the last official CD I didn't have: Jump Back. Found it cheap and I couldn't resist it although I have all the numbers on other records.

The records I now have are the following, and I would like to know if I'm missing anything?

The Rolling Stones Now
Out Of Our Heads
Out of Our Heads - UK Version
December's Children
Big Hits (High Tide & Green Grass)
Aftermath
Aftermath - UK Version

Let It Bleed
Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out

Rewind?

To quote Charlie Watts: "I don't know..."

Actually, it seems to me that you have all of the official releases except for their Christmas album. Just kidding.

You are missing the 1984 compilation Rewind which was released on cd by CBS in 1980s. There are countless Decca compilations and and the UK only RS Records compilation Time Waits For No One which have not been released on cd. Also take note that the Japanese versions of Stripped, Bridges To Babylon, No Security and Live Licks all feature 1 extra exclusive live bonus track, with the exception of Stripped's bonus track All Down The Line being on the Like A Rolling Stone cd single. You could also add Jamming With Edward to your collection which is technically not a Stones album, but is close to being one.

Come to think of it, I'd buy a Christmas Album if they had one. All I have to listen to during Christmas is Run Rudolph Run by Keith.

It'd be an interesting thing for them to do, even though they'd never do it.

Ok. Is Rewind still avaliable?
Also I heard something about the first two UK albums have been released on cd sometime during the 80's. Does anybody know about that?

I think Rewind might be out of print but you can still get a copy at Amazon.

I had a vinyl copy back in the 80's.

Rewind is out of print, but it can be found used. I saw it about 2 weeks ago used in a store. You are right about The Rolling Stones and The Rolling Stones No. 2 as they both were released on the London label around 1985, but are long out a print also.

I've had Flashpoint + Collectables since 1991, but I just saw a used copy in a store near me yesterday. I should maybe go back and grab it, since it was only $15. I think the value for this cd has probably gone down since the release of Rarities though.

Re: REWIND

It was my first CD purchase back in '85...I think. Then it went OUT OF PRINT and was in demand on eBay. I thought they reissued it when the reissued MADE IN THE SHADE and STILL LIFE etc.... not 100% certain. No longer in high demand on eBay so you might be able to pick it up cheap.

Did you ever notice that the fade outs were clipped off of all the songs on the Rewind CD? You'd only notice if you were playing the songs very loudly or listening on headphones. I wonder if they clipped them to fit all the tracks or if the guy that engineered the CD transfer was sloppy. (??)

I remember in listening to cds back in 1986, that a lot of early cds in general had the endings of tracks faded out prematurely. I had forgotten about that until you just mentioned it.

oh yeah...i forgot about Collectables (from the Flashpoint package)...and I own it.

Are fan club releases considered OFFICIAL? Afterall...they need the band's permission...right? Maybe not I don't know.

Re: Lazy-Slob "Do I miss anything? Remember, I'm only interested in what is avaliable on CD."

Are you interested in official CD-singles w/bonus tracks etc....foreign & domestic?

There was a compilation package called ROLLED GOLD (The very best of the Rolling Stones) Volume I and II from Decca available in the UK. Very nice compilation I owned on cassette for about 25 years, Took them with me wherever I went.

Don't forget the MFSL versions of Hot Rocks & early releases etc... and you can make distictions between the SACD Hybrids and the non-SACD releases. And the BIGGER BANG CD/DVD set which includes 2 bonus tracks (on the DVD).

Jump Back is selling well again thanks to the tour, currently at #47 on Billboard's Catalog Chart.

F & C hasn't gone down in value, because the extended mix of Winning Ugly still remains unreleased, as do the last 50 seconds of the Miss You 12" mix.

All the post 69 Decca compilations circulate on pirate editions, sometimes topped up with bootleg songs.

If Flashpoint/Collectables is separate from Flashpoint what about Jap releases with bonus songs, Flashpoint for example, and the CD/DVD version of ABB? Also the US/UK versions of Buttons etc.

I have the UK CD of the first album. Lucky me.

There's also 2 Jap. versions of No Security. The one with the extra song and the one with the shiny cover. In fact, there's too much to mention...

They could (very loosely) add "Winter" to such a compilation! lol

Can anyone confirm which songs are these Japanese live bonus tracks? Are Black Limousine, Angie and Wild Horses among them? I just wonder if I already have them from other sources?

Can't remember exactly. I think Angie was the extra NS track and If You Can't Rock Me was the extra Live Licks track.

Lazy-slob, there are 2 different versions of Got Live If You Want It.

One has the short intro and the second the long intro with all the band members mentioned. Also different Under My Thumb and Satisfaction mix.
