i just got back from the show -i was front row at the corner of the catwalk, the best seat in the house. incredible setlist - i can't wait to see the DVD they were filming tonight -the boys were in a great mood tonight and played two never before heard songs. Learning the Game sounded super tight right from the beginning - I hope Keith and Ron continue to play that. Ronnie made sure I got a pic he tossed at me at the end of the show and stood pointing at me for a long time while the security guard ignored him. keith made a crude gesture to me at the end but i loved it.

went the show at antone's. great blues, lots of harmonica and big names. chris jagger and tim ries were the only suprise guests.

This concert also is a runner for best setlist of the tour alongside Vienna and a few more.

Kinda weird how they put all the warhorses (except TD) in one continuous run at the end of the list these days. To me it makes the last seven songs kinda boring and predictable. But as a whole, I like the setlist.

Hey Sir Sweden.

The ones I thought about were as follows:
Vienna (The one I had a ticket for, but missed. ARRRRGH!!!).
The first concert at Fenway Park in 2005 (Opening night).
This one from Austin.

There's more of course. I just can't remember them.

Learning The Game...wow that's a great surprise!
And I can't believe Chuck Leavell would push this upon Keith, I believe it is Keith's choice.

Hi. It was Waylon Jennings originally. The Keith song is by Buddy Holly.

I feel the same way. After the B stage, the show is basically over but the war horses.

After the B-stage, the show is over if you don't like to hear the hear the greatest songs. If you are only in it for the surprises. But most of the people come to hear Brown Sugar, Sympathy, Satisfaction and those other big hits. Simple as that. If you are tired of those songs you have probably been to too many shows and you need a rest.

True. Nothing is going to change.

Ditto that.
It sums up the whole issue. I don't understand why we keep coming back to it day after day.

Some genuine jaw-droppers in that setlist. Wouldnt get your hopes up for a return to 20-21 songs per night, though. Obviously a couple were added in due to it being filmed

I'm cracking up at the fact that on the reviews page the Waylon Jennings song is listed as 'Bob Willis is Still the King'. It'll no doubt be lost to most people who dont live in the UK or Down Under, but do they mean this guy?

I know Mick's a big cricket fan, but I think this is takin' things too far...smiling smiley

Keith recorded that song many years ago and its been bootlegged on the album of the same name, amongst others. The two unreleased cover songs last night were made famous by Buddy Holly and Waylon Jennings. Both artists - and Bob Wills too for that matter - were born in Texas

Oh yes, that's true, Gazza. I just didn't think Chuck Leavell had that Keith bootleg.

It could have been worse if Bruce Willis was credited by mistake. hehe

They could truly change up the end of the show if they wanted to. Recall when at the beginning of the BTB tour You Got Me Rocking was thrown in at the end.

Tired of them? In general - no, and I can appreciate that most people want to hear them

However, it wouldnt kill them to vary them or at least not have the same ones take up the entire final third of the show, year in year out for two or three decades. Especially when they have so many alternatives. Its not like the stadium is going to empty en masse if in the middle of that last 45 minutes they threw in a different one once in a while.

And I hope you don't mean throwing a song from the first part in the second one :-)

Agree with you Gazza, why can't they stick Midnight Rambler, Out of Control or Can't You Hear me Knocking in at the end to shake things up. Or at least stick a different hit in there at the end. There are way too many songs they have to stick to the same ones every time.

As much as I am sick of You Got Me Rocking its nice to see something newer and different as the opener. And thankfully Miss You is getting a well deserved rest.

i don't know what to call it - a crotch thrust with both his elbows back - real quick (my mouth was open in a huge smile) and he walked toward me a little while we laughed. this happened right after ronnie stood his ground until i got my pic so it was exciting end of the show for me. i'd love to see both make it on the DVD but they won't. anyone else shoot video of the show?
